CC was the fist time they had both Dean AND on stage keyboards, yes?

Either way, it will be exciting to see just the 3 on stage, no matter when it last happened!!!

Wikipedia says that Dean was absent at the late 2000 and 2001 shows. I checked some Feeder videos of that era on youtube which prove that this statement is actually true, Leeds Cockpit at 2000 and Bizzare Festival at 2001 are an example athough they had keyboards on those shows (Matt Sime I guess)... so we still can't describe them as a trio :P

Both of the songs are quite different...I love the lyrics to both, I love his vocals in both.

Renegades wins. Sentimental has an incredible riff and grunge sound to it. But...Renegades is pure quality. Love it.

Renegades for me. The lyrics are some of Grant's darkest and most powerful I think giving it the edge over Sentimental. The emotion in Renegades is quite fearful with the way Grant sings, like he's giving it his all (not holding back).

best - powers that be have decided due to the weather/ice we're shutting at 4 today and tomorrow. more to the point, i was meant to be working til 8 today, and its my birthday - triple score!

worst - nowt major, except that warren is booked up til 8 tonight anyway (cos he thought i was working til then), so i won't get to open pressies til then.

I want to go. £35 is doable if I don't eat for a week (only shop nearby is Sainsbury's, food budget is mish.) but £72 for a return would put it to over a hundred not including tubes. As awesome as it all sounds... three london dates? Come a bit further south please!

S'annoying 'cause a few months ago I was living equal distance from Water rats and lexington :P

I can't decide at the moment, although I guess it's gonna be Renegades.

I'd not really thought of that. Even if my current circumstances were a bit better, I wouldn't really entertain the idea of doing more than one of these gigs. If it were a "regular" tour though, I'd be begging Londonites to let me kip on their floor for a night or 2, and basically planning to do each one of them... Probably. It's all hypothetical anyway. Part of me thinks "It'll be more special if it's one".

I think these shows could be a real one-off too... it seems most of the people going are proper old-school fans unlike some of the ones you get at normal Feeder gigs... not really sure what to expect but I think it could be something really special!....

It's alright for us lot, who are happy to buy something other than a ticket, but for most people they'll see it and think "£35? Sod that". For example, would you spend £35 for the same package for a band you've seen but aren't that bothered about? I doubt I would.

aye. main reason i'm not going is its very tricky for me to get to any london dates (i have other commitments on a thursday and the mon/fri i'm due to work til 8, awkward to swap late nights and leave is very tight this year)

however in addition to that i'd want to take my boyfriend as well, he won't be bothered about the tshirt and EP, and realistically at this time of year i can't afford the £70 for the both of us. if the EP was separate to the gig tickets i might try to do it, but in effect £35 for his ticket for what will be a very short set and he won't be that fussed about has put me off. yes i can sell the stuff on but tbh i feel it'd be more hassle than its worth.

i'm gutted to miss out, but right now there's other things i'd rather put that £70 towards. i suspect there's a percentage of the "hardcore" who are in the same situation, there's quite a number of the gig-regulars who are passing.

having said all that i'm surprised more haven't sold out yet but also how many of us usually do more than 1 date on a tour? the way its been set up for tickets means its less likely folks are doing that, which will make a differnece to how quickly it sells. under "normal" circumstances, a 6 date tour of that size venues would get a certain amount of people doing all of them, as it is i doubt anyone other than pete&nance is doing more than 1 date?

Not much at all. I guess in a way this could result in some extremely special shows... The people who are there *want* to be there a lot, as opposed to it being something to do for an evening, a la just playing the Academy... I'm really really excited about it all now... Especially with Taka/FeederHQ's latest tweet... "All things orange"... Which could be hinting at any number of things I guess...

I wouldn't be surprised if the others were not far off. I guess the price is putting some off, which is a shame, but what can you do?!

If you buy a ticket from someone else, the original purchaser needs to send me their order e-mail with details on who they've sold it to (i.e. you) and I will arrange, via Feeder HQ, for the names on the list to be held at the door of the venue to be changed.

Although I wonder why you need to given that only the Water Rats is sold out ? Surely it's easier to buy a package so that the ticket is in your name and then sell the t-shirt or EP (or both) if you don't want them ?

Renegades is Grant, Taka and Karl and is a temporary side project name.

Feeder, right now, is just Grant & Taka. Long term drummer decision hasn't been made yet.

The name of the Feeder album is unknown.

Ahh, cheers. Looks like I owe my mate an apology, I was adamant it was the new album name... :(

So long as one of you has an ID that matches the ticket e-mail, then you'll both get in.

Hi guys, another newbie here. Saw them at sonisphere, actually heard about them and begun to like them a few months before they were announced for Sonisphere. ATM i'm trying to get the lyrics for Renegades spot on, not done too shabby so far;

If I was a prophet,
If I was a saint,
Sent here to save you, to bury the pain,
Would I be different, would I belong?

Voices are silent,
Arms are at bay,
A cloud of destruction,
Gets closer each day,
Things could be different, we could belong.

We are the human,
We are the strays,
We talk about heaven,
We talk about grace,
But things could be different, we could belong.

Leave behind the Renegades,
Cross the desert, through the haze,
'Cos we must hold on, yeah,
'Cos we must hold on, yeah,
Moving forward one by one,
To find shelter.

'Cause they say,
Things are much better than we know,
We are not the problem,
So don't hate,
Things will get better if we show,
We are not the problem

For the sake of the children,
The sake of us all,
Bury the demons,
Brace for the fall,
Things could be different, we could belong.

We are the vision,
We are the faith,
We have new meaning,
We have new taste,
Things could be different, we could belong.

Leave behind the Renegades,
Cross the desert, through the haze,
'Cos we must hold on, yeah,
'Cos we must hold on, yeah,
Moving forward one by one,
To find shelter.

'Cause they say,
Things are much better than we know,
We are not the problem,
So don't hate,
Things will get better if we show,
We are not the problem

We go right back to the start,
In sweet defiance,
We were meant to be apart,
Lie down in silence,
We must find out who we are.

If I was a prophet,
If I was a saint,
Sent here to save you,
To bury the pain,
Would I be different, Would I belong?

'Cause they say,
Things are much better than we know,
We are not the problem,
So don't hate,
Things will get better if we show,
We are not the problem

And they say,
Things are much better than we know,
We are not the problem,
So don't hate,
Things will get better if we show,
We are not the problem

Think there's no errors but you can never be sure. Oh, and one little Q have they changed the bands name (with Karl) to Renegades, with Feeder still just Grant and Taka, or is Renegades just the name of their album?

Cheers, Clarkey

I read elsewhere no... but I will say that Hoxton have a habit of enforcing an 18+ restriction regardless of what promoters say. Not all of the time, but is has happened quite often...

Ponyo is fantastic! I watched it subbed last night - heard that the dubbed version has quite a bit of talent behind the voice acting but for some reason I much prefer hearing ghibli films in the japanese, regardless of what is lost or edited out in the sub translation. Definitely one of my favourite Ghibli films, I had a smile on my face throughout!

Think I shall find another Ghibli I haven't seen yet for tonight :D

Japanese with English Subs is pretty much standard... occasionally the English dub can be quite poor but occasionally it's on par (Princess Mononoke). I love how innocent Ponyo is... it's just a happy film throughout. And I love the 'Ponyo loves Sosuke!' line (obviously spoken in Japanese)... I'm not sure why... maybe I'm just a sucker for Ghibli.

I watched Howl's Moving Castle AGAIN because I love the characters in it so much... If anyone has seen it then you'd know why someone may like Turnip, Calcifer, and I suppose we have to mention Howl, Sophie and Merkl too. I also watched a Ghibli short done as a music video, called 'On Your Mark' which to be fair, was one amazing ride.

Also got round to watching another Ghibli production called Tales from Earthsea. It's another great film but not as good as other productions of that studio.

And I continue... I watched some pretty crap horror flick called Outpost and also Inglourious Basterds... which was alright.

Outpost is awful!

I didn't enjoy Tales from the Earthsea all that much. It was dubbed, but it just felt a bit moody and slow throughout, and I don't think the animation itself really did Ghibli much justice.

Howl's Moving Castle is brilliant though!

My comments on dubbing and subbing come mainly from the three versions of Akira I have. Two subbed and one dubbed. All three are pretty different though, so I have no idea which one is closest to the actual story. Two of them are excellent though whilst one is a bit confusing at times. All three versions came in a box set too - extra confusion!

Ackers, Plymouth goes to Paddington. You can tube it from there to Islington, Kings Cross and Hoxton easy depending on which one you're going to. Padders is on Bakerloo, Circle and others. You can use the circle line to get on practically any other line you need, and it's all fairly simple when you get there!

If you go, how are you getting back to Plym? I doubt you'd make it on the same night - first train back is at 6am from Paddington.

Edit - Just noticed Pete had pretty much said all this anyway.

If I can resolve the returning to Plym issue I'll be going to Hoxton. If you want a hand with trains and the like I'll be going from Plymouth too.
