Oh that's that guy who covers everything. Yeah, I think I heard him cover the pet shop boys or something. It was annoying. And gave me an aggrievating sense of deja vu. Well, I doubt it's him... And even if he's trying his best to become famouse abroad, I don't think someone knows who the hell he is in Australia....

I'm preeeeettty sure he was a feature album on Radio National! (Which play pretty crap music most of the time, and DO feature obscure international stuff.)

This is what it says on Wikipedia:
The track on the album "L'amore e' nell'aria" ("The Love Is In The Air"), borrows the instrumental backing to the b-side "Broken" by UK rock band Feeder, but it a new recording based on the Feeder original rather than a sample taken directly from the recording.
