Awww...it comes from helping my mum out loads when i was younger. I randomly decided to make cookies at 11pm yesterday haha. [you]Peanut Butter Cookies[/you] www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/crunchypeanutbutterc_87012.shtmlNote: if it's not coming together in a dough, add the egg white bit by bit mine took more like 15 mins in t'oven You can also melt some chocolate and spread on top...gives them more flavour and takes away any dryness once they've cooled. Make sure you try them while warm though....mmmmmmmmmmm!

Who needs Gordon Ramsey, when you've got Francis the dog! Cooking With DogFrancis the dog actually just sits there while the woman does all the hard work, but I reckon it's him doing the voice-over!

we just had a bbq and for dessert i sliced up a pineapple, halved some strawberries and sliced a couple of bananas, put the pineapple and strawberries in some foil and poured over some glaze i made from butter, brown sugar and amaretto (you can use brandy or rum too- but i only had amaretto). I scrunched up the edges of the foil, put it directly in the coals and left it to warm through for about half an hour. About half way thru i added the bananas and some more of the glaze. Then five minutes before the end i brushed over the rest of the glaze. I served it with vanilla ice cream, double cream, toffee sauce drizzled over and wafer curls. YUM! would make a lovely pancake filling too i reckon. I used to make this every summer, but haven't done it for years. So glad i decided to give it a whirl again, its gorgeous! to make the glaze you put a knob of butter (or marg/spread whatever you use) and about 2 tablespoons of brown sugar into a saucepan. Heat it up until it starts going like runny toffee and then pour in some kind of spirit - rum, brandy or amaretto work best. Heat until it bubbles and thats it! takes about 1 minute to make, its so easy! you dont have to do this on a bbq, in the oven would work just as well and you could try different toppings like sliced almonds, chopped nuts, chocolate sauce.....whatever you fancy really! or you could use the fruit mixture with the glaze on top of a warm cake type dessert.

that sounds awesome Jude my boyfriend and i made a family of hedgehog cakes on saturday for his sisters 18th will try to get pics from Jo ''cos i didn't get any, don't think Warrens came out on his phone, but basically made my usual big hedgehog cake, and then little chocolate cakes which we took out of the cases, covered in butter-icing and gave eyes and mini spikes using choc drops and halved buttons. they looked really cool highly reccomend the little ones as a twist on normal cakes, not too much effort to make and look fantastic. (Warren has found his new calling, mini hedgehog creator!)

cooking isn't that difficult - just a matter of following a recipe. sure some things come with practice and you develop an instint for more complicated stuff and things that go well together, but to start off with it needn't be anything to be scared of.

Cooking also tends to look more difficult than it actually is as well. The trick is to get what your doing into your head so you're not constantly checking the recipe for every little thing.
And don't panic if something isn't ready in the right time frame...cookers/ovens differ.
