A few small new snippets from a Sonisphere interview:
Ten tracks have been recorded so far, with Grant doing Vocals over the coming months. There may be some download singles preceding the album. Album still on for early 2010 release.

Download single and small tour before the end of the year? I'd settle for that. Please...

I like the idea of the album having a Nirvana-esque feel, like Sentimental.

I'm glad in the Sonisphere interview Grant says the lyrics for Sentimental aren't finished yet...thought it was the only part that may let the song down a bit.
Good times =).

Want them to play a gig in Liverpool, apart from that, they can do as they please.
I wouldn't really ask for a heavy sounding album, due to silent cry being the heavy album I wanted, although more more heavy songs would be welcome, im not to fussy on the way they want to sound.
I do agree with Gravity Equivalent Baconberg, grant, please don't repeat lyrics!

Sentimental sounds great !! Personally I'd love to hear an Echo Park II.... as long as Feeder get the puclicity and airplay they deserve then I shall be happy But I want a picture of Grant eating an orange on the cover.

A return to the Swim/Polythene roots would be awesome! But, don't over-produce the songs [Victoria, Murmur etc.]. Keep it sounding raw baby!

Silent Cry/Swim cross with some of the feeling of CIS thrown in If they find a way to do that I will be happy forever

For the new album...what would i like to hear... I'd like to hear some Swim type songs for a starter...Sweet 16 and Descend are two of my favourite Feeder songs. For me, i would also like to hear like some catchy pop tunes like Just A Day as that'll probably get more people back into interest with Feeder...i'm so sick of singing Buck Rogers && Just A Day all the time with my mates. Some slowies are needed to, a Feeling A Moment type song would be great. Basically what i would like is an album where they do what they do best, but to say that would just be rehashing what they've done in the past...i'd like to see them adventure into different types of music as well...maybe like some Muse style prog-rock as well??? Basically...i want Album 7 to be absoloutely IMMENSE and an album i will still listen to regularly 5 years from its release. =P
Maybe i'm being too ambitious.

Even if they were on the soundtrack, it wouldnt have the 'GT3' affect on the band, as the game will have full custom soundtrack features. So i guess yeah, Feeder will be on SOME soundtracks

I like the Nirvana-esque sound of Sentimental, and hope the album will carry that kind of sound. That will be awesome! My biggest hope is that album 7 will be released in Canada, so the band can tour here and I can see them live without spending my life savings, lol... I mean most people put Canada and the US as the same market, but Canada is much much more receptive to Alternative rock music, it always has. You just have to check out our music charts, and you see bands like Billy Talent, Three Days Grace, Finger Eleven, Rise Against, Alexisonfire etc toping them instead of Rap music all the time. I think there is a place for Feeder in there especially with their new direction. Plus I think the fanbase is starting to grow here in the internet age. Some people I've told have actually heard the band, also one of the best "Miss You" videos was sent from here. So common, please come to Canada Either way, I'll be buying album number 7 like I do with all the albums!

From Facebook.
Hi everyone. It's Taka here. Hope all is good with you.
Since Mark left, we kept things quiet for a while apart from a few gigs we did in the summer but now we are back and mainly concentrating on making the new album. We have recorded more than 10 songs so far and are feeling really excited about our new material! We will be continuing to record till the end of this year so please be patient!!
I have to say "Sorry" to you guys 'cos we couldn't really update our website since we started to work on the new album. So I thought that it's about time we kept in touch and up to date with you all on our facebook page about what is going on with us and future news we may have for you.
So, take care, keep positive and speak to you soon....
Cheers!
Taka
