Has anyone who pre-ordered their copy from the official tms store had theirs dispatched yet? Nothing so far. ๐ My card was declined as I'd switched since I originally made the order but I fixed the problem within an hour of their notification. I was hoping that the dispatch would follow just as quickly. Hopefully it won't lie lingering for a week or more before they decide to come back to it. I got a dispatch notice around 6pm today.

Thanks. I think because of my blip they've set it to one side and forgotten about it. Great. It's very ironic that in the order summary page it literally says "This item will be shipped along with future preordered items in time for the release date on 9th August". Which is now obviously a lie.

OK. Just had my first listen.
Instant top 3 tracks (other than the singles). Tallulah, Kyoto and Kite, but there isn't a bad track on there.
Looking forward to having a proper listen with headphones over the weekend!

Listening to Tallullah for the first time.
Overall impressions of the singles so far, is this is an attempt to go back to the mid-tempo- mainstream Feeder. Easy on the ear but a bit bland and predictable these days. Maybe my tastes have just changed over time.
Fear of Flying is so far the edgiest and most creative/original tracks released so far - which is saying something.
Hopefully some of the album tracks break it up a bit. Lets see.

After a few days listening...
Youth - My favourite on the album, I'm a sucker for this summery uplifting joyous side of Feeder. Suits me down to the ground. Blue Sky Blue - A really good pop rock banger, really nice hooks and very listenable. A real classic Feeder sound. Another of my favourites. Daily Habit - Didn't really like it on first listen but it's grown on me a lot, some of the lyrics are a bit silly but that's Feeder for you! Fear of Flying - Loved this since it was first released, reminds me of the Generation Freakshow stuff which was my favourite album. Rodeo - Again, this has really grown on me over the last few days. Unmistakably Feeder, but with a bit of a classic rock / country twist. Tallulah - Takes a few listens but I love it, the verses sound very Comfort in Sound era, builds nicely - the bridge and into the last chorus are great. Shapes and Sounds - Another of my favourites, it really makes me smile. Very instant. I love the way the verses take lead of the song instead of the chorus. Guillotine - One of the lower points of the album for me, the "woo-hoo's" in it don't do it for me really, and it just plods along a bit - feels like filler. Kyoto - I can imagine this intro as a tour opener. Very Renegades era sounding, I didn't like that album much but in the context of the album it works, very nice hooks in the chorus. Kite - Worst on the album for me, don't like the vocal effects - feels a bit repetitive and dull. An alright song, just not my taste. Windmill - Banger. Absolute banger. Lovely melodies, nice contrast between the verse and chorus, great riffs, Feeder doing what they do best. Lonely Hollow Days - Very much a Grant solo album kind of track, but the vocal melody on the chorus is really nice - overall though, your average acoustic Feeder/Grant track.
Overall, I really like the album - it's really eclectic so I don't think anyone will like every track on it, but it feels like a really nice mix of their different styles. Some of the tracks need a few listens, others are absolutely instant. I do think there'll be something for everyone on here - it's been on repeat since I got it!

Really enjoyed the first 1/2 listens to the album. Think there's a good eclectic mix. Also, think the production on this album seems pretty good overall.
I really hope that they do play a good chunk of the new songs on tour. Even if they mix it up each night to rotate them.
Be nice to see them go full pelt with promoting an album and be comfortable with it.

I read somewhere that Blue Sky Blue was initially written for Liam Gallagher. Iโd be interested to see if Grant plans on working with Liam in the future !

First listen through. Very enjoyable if slightly predictable, back to a more standard Feeder format after the excellent ABE, which did tend to drift away at the end of the album unlike this effort which has probably the strongest last few songs on any Feeder album ever?
Tried to stick to 3 'best' songs which was a struggle to be honest. My ratings (subject to change!)
Best:- Youth Kyoto Windmill
Good:- Blue Sky Blue Daily Habit Fear of Flying Tallulah Kite Lonely Hollow Days
Average:- Shapes and Sounds
Meh:- Rodeo Guillotine

Fear of Flying is so far the edgiest and most creative/original tracks released so far - which is saying something. Hopefully some of the album tracks break it up a bit. Lets see. Having heard the singles and now the album once, I am surprised at some of the wording used in press releases e.g. "Tallulah is perhaps the bandโs most creative yet also concise record, an album that takes real chances while remaining committed to their punk-edged melodies and crisp song construction." I was expecting more songs in the ABE mould like Universe of Life, which structurally, is more interesting than Feeder's usual songs, and better for it, I think. I've nothing against the usual verse/chorus thing though - many of the best songs of all time do that, as do many of Feeder's best. Tallulah is shaping up to be very good for me, as my favourite albums often have 1 or 2 instant tracks and more that take longer to get into.

Unsurprising, a click-bait lie of a headline.

Haha, that review reads exactly how I want a Feeder review to read. Avoiding current trends - Check Comparisons to Foo Fighters, Muse and Smashing Pumpkins - Check Feeder 'doing what they do best' - Check

My CD from Rough Trade arrived yesterday, after they decided they couldn't give them out on Thursday night, so not too bad. Even though I'd listened on Spotify, I'm still a little excited about putting a new Feeder album in the CD player player player player.
My favourite tracks so far are Blue Sky Blue, Fear of Flying and Kyoto.
Tallulah must have a good chance of top 10 given all the formats and instores.

Avoiding current trends - Check Comparisons to Foo Fighters, Muse and Smashing Pumpkins - Check Feeder 'doing what they do best' - Check Just logged in to the forum for the first time in way too long to see what people were saying about the album! Saw that review yesterday and had exactly the same take away from it as you!! Breaking news, Feeder not trying to be mainstream. All the things he was throwing out are exactly the reason I love the band in the first place! Seemed like a ridiculously lazy review to be honest. Anyway, I'm really loving Tallulah!! I still haven't decided on a favourite yet - although the title track Tallulah is probably edging it at the moment. But I'm also delighted that Feeder are still churning out tracks like Kyoto - it's got to be one of their heaviest ever songs!! I'm praying they put this in their setlist, it would be awesome live. Anyone got any idea on where they'd place the album compared to the rest? I honestly think it's one of their strongest. I probably say that after every new Feeder album, but whilst ABE was a grower for me Tallulah is an instant hit. I've been listening pretty much non stop all weekend!
