Personally, I'd love them to eschew a support band and play 2 sets: "Black" in full, then a break, then "Red". But that'll never happen!
On recent album tours, they've played as many as 8 or 9 songs from the new album ("Tallulah") and as few as 5 ("Torpedo").
Given that the tour will finish before "Black/Red" is released, I expect we'll hear fewer songs from it, then the regular hits.
Best-case, semi-realistic scenario for me would be for the hits to lean on "Yesterday Went Too Soon", which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. "Waiting for Changes", "Day In Day Out", "You're My Evergreen", etc.
A man can dream.

That sounds pretty amazing, but as you say, not gonna happen! I'm positive Grant will just go for a greatest hits set yet again with a fair few Black/Red tracks and then maybe just one or two rarities that will be the main talking points among us super fans (although probably not that rare).
I've got tickets for Oxford which will be my first time seeing them since 2017; decided to take a bit of a break from Feeder live and then of course the pandemic happened. But I'm itching to see them and hopefully not have them lean too heavily on the past - I think ABE and Torpedo were absolutely amazing and Tallulah wasn't bad either. I was lucky enough to see the ABE tracks live in those last shows I went to but now I hope Grant has enough confidence in the new material to play plenty of it this time. An anniversary bias of a past album could be cool too as Grant has mentioned in interviews, yet of course there's been no evidence of that happening in any shows so far.

Given 5 tracks have been released already, I'd love to hear at least 7 or 8 Black/Red tracks.
That leaves room for 5 or 6 guaranteed crowd pleasers plus 3 or 4 more songs. I'd love to hear Radiation again and the reintroduction of a couple of older tracks, whether they're from Polythene, YWYS, Generation Freakshow (feels weird referring to that as old), or b-sides/hidden gems. Arms or Time Goes By would be my absolute dream.
Only one date for me on this tour, and that's Manchester.

Just absolutely anything from Silent Cry, please!
Most of that album hasn't been played in over 15 years now, they seemed to just drop the whole thing entirely barely 6 months after it came out.
They've since played the title track a few times back in 2018, but that's literally it. According to setlist.fm, the second most recently played song on that album is Miss You way back in August 2009.
I've long been convinced Miss You would be a great opener to immediately whip the crowd into a frenzy.

I love Silent Cry for its depth, as the album has so many good tracks, but to me, nothing is what I call (and this is just my opinion) "great". Like, to me nothing screams a must-play at concerts. So, maybe Grant kinda thinks like me.

I would put 8:18 on my great list I think, but yeah maybe nothing else. Funny Googling 'Silent Cry tracklist' and Google reliably informs me the title of track 8 is actually '0.3458333....' lol

And for those who went to the show tonight, what rarities and new songs did they play? Did they play anything off the new record besides the five they put out on youtube?

And for those who went to the show tonight, what rarities and new songs did they play? Did they play anything off the new record besides the five they put out on youtube? According to setlist.fm, they played 6 from Black/Red: - ELF
- Hey You
- Lost in the Wilderness
- Playing With Fire
- Soldiers of Love
- The Knock
Plus 1 from Torpedo: 2 from Tallulah: 7 from the 'here we go again' list: - Insomnia
- Feeling a Moment
- Just the Way I'm Feeling
- Buck Rogers
- Just a Day
- High
- My Perfect Day
Just one rarity: Tangerine Apparently Grant said they'll switch up the set each night. I'm dubious but hopeful.

This is all accurate!
Was awesome hearing Tangerine (someone requested it earlier in the set, no idea if that influenced the decision to play it though!)
Loved seeing them again, though was slightly disappointed at a 17 song set with nothing from after PTS through to before Tallulah. Surely something from Renegades or ABE could've been squeezed in, at least?
Hoping Hey You sounds better in studio form!
Otherwise, awesome gig!
-------
My setlist prediction was (* almost certain song): 01) Soldiers of Love 02) Playing With Fire * 03) Feeling a Moment * 04) Come Back Around * 05) Just the Way I'm Feeling * 06) High * 07) Lost in the Wilderness 08) Lost & Found 09) Renegades 10) Fear of Flying 11) Elf * 12) Insomnia * 13) The Knock 14) Torpedo 15) Buck Rogers * ---------- 16) Pushing the Senses 17) Just a Day *
Wouldn't be surprised: Seven Days in the Sun Borders Kyoto The Healing My Perfect Day Shatter Universe of Life Godzilla
Baring in mind we've had only 5 songs out from the album, so far: the only big shocks for me were Tangerine in and Come Back Around out!

Interestingly, under Tangerine it was noted that the started playing Universe of Life and then aborted it. I guess the intro riffs aren't a million miles apart, maybe there was a mix up?

Breaking news from Torquay:
"Just a Day" out.
"Polythene Girl" in.
🤩
Could it be?!
Update: looks like they kept "Just a Day" and just made the set longer. Still. This is movement in the right direction!

Although I'd really love to hear Polythene Girl and would always encourage playing rarer tracks over more established ones, CBA and UoL are two of my favourites at least, plus the addition of UoL gives All Bright Electric a representation. Good to hear there's at least a little bit of truth to Grant's switching it up claim. It's looking fairly good for Oxford on Monday. I wonder if it'll be any different.

And each to their own. For me, I'd favour variety, having heard “Universe of Life” on 2 recent tours and “Come Back Around” at most shows for 20 years. For me, the bigger issue — and I know I’m a stuck record on this — is Grant’s ambition. He has a history of starting tours with a slightly more adventurous set, then reverting to the hits after a handful of shows. For example, the Torpedo tour played 20 shows, according to setlist.fm “Wall of Silence” was the single at the time, and had a music video made for it. It lasted 3 shows. “Decompress” lasted one show, as did a planned rarity, “World Asleep”. The Tallulah tour played 23 shows. “Windmill” was tried at just one show, and never again. And now on this tour, “Polythene Girl” seems to have been shelved after 2 shows. You might say this is Grant reading the room. But I’d argue that: 1. he doesn’t always give a deep cut the time it needs, especially as the first performance can be a bit tentative (he often apologises to the crowd before they start, and jokes about forgetting lyrics) 2. he can be passive aggressive about playing the hits, as with this weird video where he gets into a debate with himself about playing "Buck Rogers" then does it anyway He’s just making a cage for himself. I don’t get it.

I don’t get it. Couldn't agree more with all of your points! I would have killed to have heard some of those tracks live - Windmill is one of my faves from Tallulah and World Asleep live - well if it sounds anywhere near as awesome as the studio version does then it would have been unforgettable! As for Wall of Silence, perhaps my favourite track from an album is absolutely adore - Torpedo. From this latest set I see that now the Healing has gone, there are currently no Torpedo tracks, which is really really disappointing for me. Shame about Polythene Girl - as I say, I would have loved to have heard it, just missed it looks like. As for Tangerine, I personally am not too fussed to see it go, I was lucky enough to see it in 2010 and it's one my least favourites from Polythene. But regarding the wider point of ambition it's another loss and a shame for fans of the track.

Anyone know what sort of time they've been heading out on stage the past few nights? Seeing them in Oxford later - I'm assuming about 9, but I don't want to risk missing the start if they've been starting earlier!

Been a while since being on here!
Was at Bristol on Friday. Really enjoyed the gig. Set was pretty spot on. I need my Descend fix though! Been way too long.
When was Windmill ever played on the Tallulah tour!? I would have bloody loved that!
