I can't stand markets Too many people and too much of a crime risk... I never even consider that. And I live in Stockton... They're just much more pleasant. You can amble along and take in all the smells, the staff are friendly, the food isn't expensive, and it's local so it both helps the community and the environment as it doesn't have to be transported far. Plus, supermarkets are depressing. When was the last time you saw someone looking happy in Tesco? You try and get in and out as quickly as possible. Supermarkets suck.

I like markets but not on Saturdays or at Christmas. There are too many people who get in my way.

^I know what you mean! Markets aren't a crime risk here but they're fairly noisy. And supermarkets. If you ask me, the most depressing shopping comes under the following (and I'll say this as you're an honourary girl) 1. Going into Woolworth's, the most horrible supermarket in the world (it's full of wailing bogan children, it smells of urine and the checkout chicks have their makeup applied with a trowel and are in a state of rigor mortis) when you desperately need to get "feminine hygene products" 2. going bra shopping. My Mum always comes in and says "try this b!" (bear in mind that I am in a state of undress at this point.) "I can't! It's too small!" 3. Shoe shopping. You know how women are supposed to like shoes? I hate them. I think they're one of the most uncomfortable, terrible inventions of all time. Yeah, supermarkets are BAAAAD. I like going to the health food store...it's all cosy and filled with carob and smoothies

I've been to supermarkets in Italy and France before... they're much less depressing than English ones. I think it's because people are more laid back on the continent, and shopping isn't like a competitive sport.

Went to San Remo, not far from the border with France. Stayed up in the hills. Unfortunately I was only there for maybe a week so I didn't get to see too much, but my favourite place was probably Bordighera (think I've spelled that correctly), the beach and the promenade there was wonderful. And of course the weather was stunning!

Yes! But it's called like that because there's plenty of greenhouses there and they are one of the main producers here.

^I hate having to do things like that. Reminds me of group assignments, which have to be my LEAST favourite task in the world. It's not easier to do things in a group when no one has the same ideas or works as hard as you!
