... is in about 3 weeks. any bright ideas anyone? think we (Clare) surpassed ourselves with the photo album last year... i have a card that i found ages ago and thought would be cool. goldfish in sunglasses only idea i have gift wise is something from the oxfamunwrapped site - think Grant might quite like that. there's a radio for £16 that jumped out at me, or loads of other options, have a lookalso, could send a "congrats on new baby" card etc at same time? what do people think?

I'm not understanding the oxfam thing? I'm up for helping anyway i can! I can have a look around for something here if you wish and send it over in the next week Really like the idea of sending the two cards, just to show him how much we know.

I'm not understanding the oxfam thing? basically the item that you buy (eg radio, goat, condoms, loo, seeds, clean water) goes to people in extreme poverty who need such things to survive, in africa, india etc. then the buyer gets a card and a magnet with a picture/explanation of the gift on to keep. So if for instance we got Grant a Radio, the radio itself would go to a family in africa/india etc to be used in a community to to learn new skills, have a voice, hear about health and HIV and AIDS, or even receive early disaster warnings. Grant would get a card and magnet explaining this to put on his fridge.

The photo album was a brilliant idea... in a way, we peaked too early with that one, we should have waited until this year!
*thinks*

.... maybe put in a card "go find the item we gave you last year from where you've hidden it and have another look" not like we can really add any pics for it, they've only played 2 gigs since then

Also, last year a lot of us (sadly not all of us!) were all in the same place so we could sign the card easily enough. That card had a lot of signatures.

Given that Chloe and Stacey are in the middle of moving/job hunting madness, I'm going to organise this one. We've 'agreed' between the 3 of us to get him something from Oxfam Unwrapped, and we'd also like to get some baby Converse for the new arrival - how cute?! Just like Daddy's. If anyone has any fierce objections against these ideas then feel free to throw in any other ideas. If everyones happy, then I just need some money folks! You can Paypal money to me at clarebailey@tinyworld.co.uk, or if you'd rather send a cheque, let me know and I'll PM you my address (as long as you promise not to stalk me....)

I know it would probably be a bit expensive, but it would be good if we got Grant a black pair of Converse and had the FFS stuff printed on to them ( like the t-shirts from the Redbourn gig, minus Redbourn 07, of course, I doubt he would want to be reminded of that). Love the pink ones, I'll send money in a mo

Nice idea Suzi, although I'm not quite sure how we'd do it! And I'm not sure I've ever seen black Converse?
