news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/6991147.stmIt calls itself 'the best motorsport in the world' what an absolute fucking shambles.... So pissed off by this decision, I'm a Mclaren fan (always have been, even when i didn't watch it over the last 4 years). What was left of my respect for the FIA and Formula 1 has all gone now... I'll still watch it, just to see Hamilton win the championship to shove it in Ferrari's face... see myspace bulletin for more of my feelings about this... Ferrari = fucking wankers. FIA = biased towards Ferrari in all respects... Oh and if you're wondering why I'm moaning about Formula 1 again, i think you all know by now I am a massive fan of motorsport, particularly Touring Cars, but this spoils the image of ALL forms of motorsport, after all, F1 is ment to be 'the best'.

Well... not really...
Ferrari won the first race of the season WITH AN ILLEGAL CAR.
Do the FIA do anything about it? do they hell!
Mclaren have given their full co-operation throughout this enquiry because of 1 employee getting Ferrari documents.
Surely Ferrari should be penalised aswell as ONE OF THEIR employees gave the document to the Mclaren employee.
In other words, one of the FERRARI employees started all this, yet FERRARI got away with no penalty/fine/anything.
Makes me wonder, did they do this on purpose? I certainly wouldn't put it past them.

Sir Jackie Stewarts Commentsnow does it make sense that I have right to be angry when the facts haven't been released? Also Eddie Jordan and Murray Walker have implied exactly the same things as Sir Jackie - it doesn't take that much brian to figure out they're speaking the truth... Or it doesn't when you follow motorsport as much as I do anyway.

*shrugs*
I can see where you're coming from, but at the end of the day, you can't really penalise a team for a rogue employee giving away secrets ... afterall, secrets are only worth something if someone uses them to their own advantage.

Alonso can be described by a four letter word for which the Cockney rhyming slang is James Blunt. It's nice to know Alonso and de la Rosa are so loyal to their team - we already know Alonso won't be staying any longer after this year and I doubt DLR is going to be their test driver much longer also. In theory they shouldn't be allowed to seek employment at another team either, as they now hold secrets on both the McLaren and Ferrari cars which they could pass to other teams. Ferrari have already stated they don't want Alonso - I think they realise this might drop them in the shit too. Plus he's a backstabbing little shit and not many teams want one of those... I can understand McLaren getting penalised because at the end of the day, regardless of who passed on the information, it was mighty suspicious behaviour. And I'm sure Ron Dennis is an honest bloke, as is Lewis Hamilton, but other members of the team may not be. It does say something about Nigel Stepney (ex Ferrari) and Michael Coughlan though that their teams chose to sack them almost immediately as opposed to defending them though - both teams must have realised quite soon that they were up to something. That said the whole Ferrari team cannot be penalised for the actions of one man (unless Stepney received McLaren information and members of the team had used that). They're gonna have a bugger of a time next season. The penalty means that they will have only two pit garages instead of the six they would normally get, they will be at the far end of the pitlane (bad news for making quick pitstops - there's a reason the top teams get the boxes at the top of the pitlane) and they will get much, much less hospitality space for motorhomes etc. The $100m fine does include costs that the governing body would have paid to the team anyway for their result in the championship, so I think it was worked out that McLaren would only have to actually *pay* the equivalent of about £15m in fines... but then they would have to pay for their own air fare for transportation, and other costs. Basically they lose all their prize money. The real pity is that people are going to remember Lewis Hamilton's first season, whether he wins or loses, as the one where McLaren were disqualified for allegedly cheating. However, it was nice to see Hamilton kicking ass again at a wet Japanese Grand Prix

What was left of my respect for the FIA and Formula 1 has all gone now... Well bringing an oldie thread back up but - well I think what was left of all of our respect for the FIA has all but evaporated after Mr FIA President Max Mosley was caught in a 5 hour Nazi-fantasy orgy with 5 prostitutes. If you thought McLaren's grid penalty at Malaysia last Grand Prix was tough - well Max Mosleys punishment of being bent over and whipped repeatadly was even tougher!!!

next weekend Pete. Rockingham is next, always provides fantastic racing - although it's a shit track to drive on RACE07!!! Although saying that, world touring cars are on this weekend, they always live-stream it through the www.fiawtcc.com website.

I had too much fun watching the BTCC last weekend. Fuck Formula 1. Old school BTCC was the real stuff. Now they've messed it up so much with all the ballast, spin the wheel, reverse grids. It's simulated racing. Guess the only thing that hasn't changed is Plato still causes multi car shunts on a consistant basis. BTCC lacks high calibur racers they used to have such as Yvan Muller (Love), and James Thompson. Yeah F1 is screwed up because of the constant rule changes every season to "spice up the show", though least I know i'm watching the worlds finest drivers in the form of Alonso, Hamilton and Raikkonen.

I've actually been enjoying the new F1 season so far.
Watching the truly real joy displayed by Hamilton, Rosberg and Heidfeld on the podium after the Australian Grand Prix really rekindled the whole thing for me - I hadn't seen so much energy and emotion on display since Schumacher made things go stale by winning every single race in the last 65 years.
This Max Mosley thing is quite funny too. Nazi bondage prostitutes? I didn't even know they existed!
