Meh.
Today had a brilliant middle, but a terrible fucking start and end.
1) I booked my train tickets online for London today (inc travel card). Total cost: £45.
Went to pick them up today, realised I didn't have my reference no, thought "OK, I'll check my emails". Then realised I didn't have an email with it on. What website doesn't fucking email you?! Anyway, found a number for the train company and found that they had no reference for my card or address whatsoever. Thus meaning I had to spend a FURTHER £35 (and then 5 when I got to London) on a train/tube.
2) London. New Feeder album. Awesome.
3) Got on train home, checked connection time on way back, found out connection to Lincoln had been cancelled. And the next one was a bus. That got in at 11:45. (Obviously this was addressed with a whiney phone call to the parental unit. I now have some grovelling to do.)
4) Bought a bluetooth headset off eBay (a 'spensive one). No charger/fitment kit supplied. Not happy.
5) As some of you will know, I got hit by a lorry on the motorway last month. I'm currently going through some compensation claims etc, not least to claim back my excess for my car (£400!)
Aaaanyway, I got a letter through from my solicitors who're dealing with the claim today. They told me that I can't actually get any compensation from the (foreign) wanker who hit me because they "can't trace it". Which is bollocks, as I have his company name, and it was a company fucking vehicle.
So now, I'm liable to give them 25% of any compensation I get through this Non Traceable Persons thing, which in turn will only give me compensation for days off work through injury, and not for the *actual* injury itself. Days off I've had due to the injury = 1. Medication costs = £6. Day off work cost = £50ish.
So I'm essentially fucked and I can't claim my excess back off them, so I'm basically £400, a knackered shoulder and a car down due to an accident that wasn't my fault!
Added to that the fact that a large chunk of my personal life has essentially disappeared over the last month and I'm pretty much fed up with everything right now
