Time for another rant methinks. Chavs. Why is 95% of the chav population the ones that cause trouble? drinking and smoking on streets, smoking drugs on buses, mugging people, bullying people, stealing cars...the list could go on. They dont work, and sponge benefits and tax-payers money when they are able to work and get a job, which also makes it look bad for genuine people on benefits, they then get treated like a chav. Why do chavs pick on people that dress differently and listen to different music? i have got called an emo and a goth just for listening to rock music!? why are chavs cruel to those with different music tastes? remember that gothic young couple that got attacked by a group of 'chavs'? and the girl died from being constantly kicked in the head. Why do chavs find it funny to hurt people? and even film things on mobile phones. And why do they have to play their music out loud on their phones on buses/trains? Remember i'm not on about all chavs, but why are only chavs doing most of this? just over a week ago me and my little sister were sitting on the back of the bus minding our own businesses, after a few stops about a group of about 6 asian 'chavs' sat near us, they was talking loud, playing music, me and my sister kept ourselves to ourselves. Then, after some stops one kept asking my sister 'are you asian? are you white? - knowing 100% clearly that she was white, i got mad. I told my sister to move down the top of the bus, i then said to the one picking on my sister 'i'd appriciate it if you would stop being a dick-head' (maybe the swearing wasn't necessary but i couldnt help it ) so i walked down the top of the bus, he must of got angry and started calling me every name under the sun one being a 'bitch' - so i'd had enough i simply turned round stood up and told him to fuck off and get a life he carried on calling me stuff in his language and did when he got off aswell, i never replied, ignorance was the best thing to do after - tbh i think he was just annoyed that he got stood up to by a short lass infront of his mates , ok i went a bit mad but at the end of the day we was doing nothing to them, we didn't even look at them or talk about them, i've never stood up for myself like that, but god it feld good. Although just think if that happened on the street? would they have drawn a weapon?, you just don't know these days. Well excuse me for the ranting but i needed to say it ;D

What annoys me most is that they like to pick on people who are younger/smaller than them. Like two 16 year old chavs v my 8 year old brother. Although i'm quite a quiet person i can and will stand up to them if i need to. Most of the time i ignore them as they really aren't worth my time but i won't stand by and watch them pick on someone who can't defend themselves. But anyway, i'll stop now

I was on the metro in Newcastle once and one of them had the Crazy Frog going on through their mobile. Some random fella just stood up walked over to them and shouted "will you turn that fucking thing off" and walked off. So damn funny
But yes they are annoying, that is the only blissful thing about this country we don't have any.
I got asked for a cigarette once, said i didn't have one so some scummy lass said "you're a fucking freek then" mmmm yes don't want to kill myself, makes me a very weird person
I could go on and on and on about them.

Chavs! I think I'm more of a target for the Asian chavs, although I'm asian myself because I don't dress or act like a dickhead (sorry about the language). e.g. not wearing hoodies, not listening to rap on my phone, so they label you just because you haven't like them
I could also go on but basically they are a disgrace

you guys know what chav stands for yes ? Council Housed And Violent quite appropriate I think ... it's a sign of the modern world and the associated breakdown of society, the family unit and greed Not quite sure what we can really do about it in the short term, sadly ...

Yep, I'd agree on this as somebody who was on the Dole for just over a year, I was treated like shite, people thought because I was on the dole I was too lazy to get a job, and it was anybody, from people I just met who asked "what do you do?" to the people at the Job Centre. They didn't realise how stressful it is trying to find a job when I had no experience to go by, yet I knew for a fact I could clearly do the jobs I applied for without much effort. I would say it was the worst year of my life... But Charvers (as we call them here), ruined the 5 years I had in secondary school... I was bullied all the time. So the year on the dole wasn't quite as bad as that. But now I'm in a job, earning (very little) money, I'm a much different person to the person I was 1 year ago, even 6 months ago. Which was proven when somebody spoke to me on MSN after not speaking to me for nearly a year last week, and said to me "it's amazing how much you've changed, you seem like a much better person in every way"... Then somebody who I'd not seen since school said practically the same thing a few days later. anyway, I'm rambling now and swinging away from the topic.

Yeah for the past few months i've been job hunting for something to do before i go to college in sept, and its so stressful!! i've settled for some voluntary work to gain experience, as i have no experience also!

There was a chav in front of me in the queue in the Co-op last night - he looked like the total stereotypical chav, y'know - mismatched trackie top & pants, bad haircut, bad skin, loads of tasteless gold jewellery, and he was buying 8 cans of Carling and a packet of fags (the chav diet) - but then he was so polite to the woman on the checkout, I thought "well I wasn't expecting that..."

France has got chavs. I remember seeing a few in Paris. Of course they could have been Brit chavs who'd gone on a booze cruise and got lost...

We haven't got chavs! That's it...i'm coming to live with you We've got lots of underage boys who rape (and kill sometimes) underage girls or who have sex with their teacher on the desk, filming everything to put the videos online, though... Well, you're not underage, you're not a horny teacher, so no problem.... But mind the Roumanians!

I'm moving to Italy There was a chav in front of me in the queue in the Co-op last night - he looked like the total stereotypical chav, y'know - mismatched trackie top & pants, bad haircut, bad skin, loads of tasteless gold jewellery, and he was buying 8 cans of Carling and a packet of fags (the chav diet) - but then he was so polite to the woman on the checkout, I thought "well I wasn't expecting that..." His mate was probably stealing her handbag under the counter whilst he kept her talking Haha love it! although i must say i do know a few lads my age who i know from primary school, they are a bit chavvy but don't completly dress chavvy, smoke but they dont hurt anyone or cause trouble (that i know of!) they've always been nice to me and joke around with me about the fact i like rock music, hardly see them around either. I guess there is some good in a few, i reckon some girls and boys follow the chav trend just because they think its cool.

We don't really have chavs here. We have bogans, and wogs (I know wog seems like I'm being offensive towards them, but they actually CALL themselves wogs. A wog here, is not just someone who's Italian/Greek/Lebanese/Turkish/etc, it's someone who is, well, a wog.) Bogans...well they're more...stupid than anything? Mostly nonviolent, but they can be, and they can be highly irritating. They're the sort who get wasted off their skulls at Schoolies or go to Corey Delaney's party. They're probably about the closest to chavs we've got. They drink lots of cheap shitty beer/alcopops/what have you, wear trackies, thongs and singlets, Australian flags everywhere, choppy bleached haircuts and a whole bunch of stuff like that. Wogs are a little hard to describe. They're similar to bogans but more likely to have a lowered car with doof doof bass. And honk at you when you're walking, minding your own business.

cheap beer, trackies...sounds very close to 'chavs' I've just realised how bad this looks: We've got lots of underage boys who rape (and kill sometimes) underage girls or who have sex with their teacher on the desk, filming everything to put the videos online, though... I'm moving to Italy please note i meant the fact there are no chavs! ;D
