Sentimental (Dropped D Tuning) (D5)-(G5)-(B5)-(C5)-(E5)-(D5) D 000-333-9-10-10-10-10-222-0 A 000-333-9-10-10-10-10-222-0 D 000-333-9-10-10-10-10-222-0 or G ---------4-5-5-5-5------- D 000-333-4-5-5-5-5-222-0 A 000-333-2-3-3-3-3-222-0 (I think Grant plays it like that) D 000-333------------222-0 Part 2 : "You never said that..." (That's what I think it is, so the lyrics are probably wrong ) Listen to it for the rhythm G--------------5555-77-10-10-10-10-55-7 D 33333-55555-5555-77-10-10-10-10-55-7 A 33333-55555-3333-55-8--8--8--8--33-5 D 33333-55555 G D 33333-55555-77777 A 33333-55555-77777 D 33333-55555-77777 Chorus 2 D A --------2-3333-------- D 000-333--------222-0 and then back to verse 1, then to bridge ... Enjoy !

Insomnia is probably the easiest feeder song to learn and play drop-d 3333333 000 66666 3333333 000 66666 3333333 000 66666
i believe its 6 and not 5, but this is off memory of about 8 years ago and laying in bed w/o my guitar.

Im pretty sure that the twinkly bit of High played at Reading is done by using a Wah pedal to make the higher octave of the guitar ring out above the open note... grant makes a G shape, but 12 frets higher, then moves the Cadd9 just like in the rhythm. Like this;
relative to capo; e --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- B --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- G------------0-----------------0--------------0------------------0----------- D--------------0------------14----14-----14----14-----------14-----14------ A-------14---------14h15-------------0-------------14h15------------------- E---15---------------------------------------------------------------------------
But if the Wah pedal is on full expression and your guitar is using mainly bridge pickups, the 12th note rings out, so every time you see a 0 on the tab, it sounds like a 12.
Sounds a bit crazy but it works (at least with my boss ME50 pedal...), and it fits with what you see in the video.
The chorus is just the rhythm guitar part, a G shape, Cadd9 shape, Asus4 shape then Cadd9 again. Take the wah off for the chorus though or it just sounds strange! Ive done it at a few open mic nights and it seems to work...
