Define ignorant Americans? Primarily those who don't know the difference between England/Britain, but there are several other cases that I can't be arsed to go into... But whhhhyyyyyyyyyyyy? Macs > PCs. Fact. That is why. It's nothing personal dude, don't worry Apple-lovers, the Birmingham accent, excessive cynicism and negativity, Canadians, - Apple lovers - well, yes, I agree that it can be annoying when people want to get into arguments all the time and it causes a stupid feud, but why is it wrong to prefer one make of computer over another, especially when it serves your purpose better? Have you noticed that most graphic designers and musicians use Apple? I wonder why that is? I realise that Apple Macs, etc are more practical for the more creative amongst us, I don't have a problem with that It's just the more pretentious of 'fanboys' who shove how much better Apple is meant to be than Windows down your throat at every given opportunity. - Excessive cynicism and negativity. You seem to be exhibiting a bit of this, old chap, with your very long list... That's the idea of the thread - Canadians..WHY? What's wrong with Canadians? I don't see how you can write off a whole country as being all bastards, and if I were to do that, it wouldn't be Canadians... Personal reasons, primarily involving an ex. (There's your excessive cynicism and negativity Kev) Cheeky And all the rest...

I am quite glad I don't have an ex. They sound awful. Maybe I should avoid relationships altogether so I will never face the problem of exes...
Still, by the way it's going, exes don't seem like much of an issue.

I've had to use that one recently though. It's better than stringing, or being strung along for ages!
Nah the worst ones are "I hate you, hope you're lonely, and never want to see you again."

Ok i've had a good think: - (no offence to fanboys/girls here) but Grrr people who completly use every moment to say how much they love their brand of laptop/phone..etc and how much they think its better than the others, i can tolerate it now and then if people want to know about it, but all the time....shut up!!! i like my sony laptop but i don't go saying how great it is and its better than all the other laptops...jeez!! - My aunt does this a lot, for example: you've had an operation you're in pain and talking about it, then the person you're talking to uses it as an excuse to say that they've gone through the same, they know how you're feeling and then to top it all off they basically say that they were more worse off.....theres a time and a place...... - Dirty toilets - they wouldn't leave their own toilet in a mess, so why do they do it to a public ones, *cringe alert* i remember at my old school the girls left dirty sanitry towels on the floor even through there were sanitry towel bins provided in each toilet cubicle....dirty bitches. i hardly use public loo's apart from the bullring ones as they are clean - love rats/cheaters! - why stay in your current relationship if you're gonna cheat? just end the relationship and then go out with someone else!!! grr - golddiggers - what more can i say? get a life! haha that felt good! probs think of more soon

^ point from above, cannae be bothered to quote: "You think THATS bad" - the unsubtle version of what Stacey said. My mate does this ALL THE BLOODY TIME. He has to be the centre of attention or be the best or whatever it is. It really grinds my gears when you're trying to tell him about an experience you've had, and he HAS to trump it!
People who use sex as a weapon. I.e. a friend of mine shagging around to make her ex jealous or something. All it's doing is making her look like a little tramp. Le sigh.

FTW has been around for a long, long time. Probably around the same amount of time if not longer than LOL. Also, what it means is dependant on where you heard it. It used to be an abreviation for Fuck The World used in punk circles I beleive? Haven't got a source for that though. As for Pete's 'on', I haven't heard that one, but I hate "Well in/Get in" if it's not used to describe something actually getting in something else I hated 'ave it' as well. so much. or the use of the word hard. i.e. "I won you hard" etc

Yeah it's gaming/geek culture slipping more and more into the mainstream, and in particular, certain music scenes.
key examples apart from FTW (for the win for those who don't know) are leet/l33t/1337 speak, which is just really, really sad.
So, for room 101:
LOLZ zomg wtf, you r such da hax0r n3wb.

FTW means "for the win." Which pretty much means something is good? I don't know.
I hate that really bad l337 speak. You see... 1337 was originally invented to bypass filters. It is more difficult to type than chatspeak and more difficult to type than regular words. I don't mind pure 1337, I just really hate that "OMG you ROX0Rs LOLOLOL!!!!!11111!!!" sort of thing..which isn't really leet anyway.
