i get pissed off so much by people who say they are a feeder 'fan' you ONLY KNOW ONE FREAKING SONG!!! and thats probably only Feeling A Moment or Buck Rogers 'so called fan': 'i own an album!!' me:'The Singles dont sodding count!!!'
I'd just like 2 say ive got nothing against people being introduced the band, but your not a true fan till uve got at least 3 albums....1 of them pre-YWTS

That's called a casual fan, and without them Feeder wouldn't exist anymore.

Yeah I think it's unfair to label people who like the music as not being fans just because they don't know enough of their music. For example, I only own 1 Stereophonics album, but I'd still call myself a fan because I like their music. But I suppose it's just my interpretation of the term 'fan'.

I think there's a line somewhere... For example, if someone owns The Singles and likes it then I'd consider them a fan of Feeder. After all, the album's great and shows the different class they're capable of. On the other hand, if I ask random people in the street if they're fans of say... Journey... then most who have heard of them will say they are. Follow it up with 'What Journey songs do you know?' and most of them will probably say 'Don't Stop Believin'' and won't know any others. That's not being a fan. Same goes with GNR 'fans' who only know Paradise City, Sweet Child O' Mine and Welcome to the Jungle.

If I'm like that with a band (I am with GNR), I usually just say 'they're alright' instead of 'Im a fan' I suppose!

how can you gauge how many songs someone knows by a band when they say they are a fan?
