As soon as I got in from work I made a chocolate cake then rushed out to do double spinning, then back home, shower, made another chocolate cake, had dinner, did my hair, did the butter cream to sort one and a half cakes, finally sat down. It was chaos, it really was. Need more ingredients to finish off when I get home but also to make more cakes (it's all for a cake bake at work tomorrow) but on top of that I've got to tidy and clean the house, do the washing up as I'm having a chocolate party in the evening. Also got to fit in dinner!! OMG!!!

really good! Me & Warren took mum to the theatre to see A Midsummer Nights Dream with dame Judi Dench in, was really really good. Bottom was played by a guy called Oliver Chris - who played Boyce in Green Wing, he was fab.

Oh wow, i love Midsummer and Oliver Chris, i saw him in October in Rain Man with Neil Morrisey, he was fantastic in that. Who did Judi Dench play?

she was the Fairy Queen Titania, but played her as "a portrait of the ageing Queen Elizabeth I", it worked really well. photos: www.rosetheatrekingston.org/Dream-Production-photos i didn't study midsummers or know much about it but really really enjoyed it, and followed it really well. (so much so i've got the text out from work to see if i can read it alone..... think i'm odd in that i really enjoyed Shakespeare at school, never struggled with the language as much as some people seemed to)

I had a busy day doing mainly housework but was worth putting the effort in. Today I feel deflated because something is now going to totally spoil my experience of something

After 1 year and 3 months (pretty much to the day) that I got made redundant, I've been offered an amazing job at a hugely prestigious school in Lincoln. It's not the *exact* job I interviewed for, as I didn't have the experience necessary for the ICT part, but it's more or less the same.
To say I'm in a good mood, frankly, is a fucking understatement.

This is a great sign ... just think of the pay-rise and recognition when you know what you're doing Well done mate ...

Cheers Pete There were 4 people in the running, and the job description was *huge*... They had one person who was great for the ICT with no theatre stuff, one who was perfect for the theatre stuff without ICT knowledge, one who wasn't too fussed if he did or didn't get it, and me... I think they saw that I have the potential to do both very well, and are willing to train me to that stage. I know what I'm doing with the sound & light stuff, just not sure about Windows/Exchange server stuff...

All good things come to those who wait I went and visited my friend and her 5 month old little boy. Had a lovely day. Left a little later than planned and got stuck solid in crappy rush hour traffic. Meant that I just had time to get changed for circuits but then had some ryvitas for dinner followed a little later by 4 pancakes!!!!

Kinda pointless and boring. A tad sad at night. I was happy during the morning because I went to the doctor's and everything was fine. And I had kebab for lunch! Yum!

A whole weekend spent with the in-laws. Well, it wasn't too bad and we do have a nice new wooden floor in the dining room as well as new skirting. I turned a bit into Monica from Friends over the weekend constantly trying to tidy and clean up around everything!

Yesterday was ok: as the whole week-end. I went to a gig on Friday: good bands to promote the election day. I helped at the bar and I've been busy standing from 3pm to 2am. So tiring, but I had fun! On Saturday I went for a drink to the Marina to celebrate a candidate. We walked at night on the pier and we had few laughs. It's hard attending happy hours when you're on the diet! Yesterday I went to 2 happy hours (both for politics aims) and they were such a bore! I went for a pizza with friends afterwards and few chats to my friends' place. Ok, but quite boring.

Work today was pretty boring, mainly due to me feeling rubbish with hayfever and low iron again.
But the boss brought his little grandkids in and we had a tea party with sarnies and cakes and stuff in the middle of the office....that cheered me up!

Mad, I get the train to school and back everyday, and some guy was lying on the road, looked unconscience, 'cos he banged his head on the barriers coming down on him. The driver got out while the conductors kept the lower years under control, and picked the guy up with one hand. The guy on the ground ran at the driver (who was about 6 foot 4) and swinging his arms all over the place, then the driver drove his fist into the top of his head. They didn't stop for about 5 minutes then the driver floored the man and the police came. Apparantly about £1000 worth of 'powder' and pills fell out his pockets!

I've had an iffy few days...i fell down the stairs on saturday evening and spent the next 5 hours in A&E with a suspected fractured spine! Luckily nothing was broken though (i knew these extra pounds i'm carrying would come in useful one day! ......plenty of padding! ) but i can't walk atm and am black and blue with bruising and swelling to my spine and left arm. I've got medication and crutches to help me get about as i can't weight bear at all on my left side, but it hurts to use them as they come right across the cuts and bruises on my left arm! so for the next couple of weeks at least i'm off work, housebound and bored out of my brain ''cos i can't move to do anything! Its just internet and telly......boring! But at least i didn't break anything. My heart sunk when the doctor said they needed to check for fractures! i've never been so scared in my life! when i was waiting for the xray i kept saying to rob " no way, theres no way i've broken my back, i dont have time for that, they've got to be wrong!" and then i breathed the biggest sigh on relief ever when the xrays came back clear! But My God, do i hurt!!
