Cheer up Tim XD
First listen of the track, I really, really like it.. super riffy and loads of layers. Especially like use of the water filter in the second(?) verse that was a staple in the early days, real throwback.
Looking forward to this one, but all summer to wait kinda sucks.
They have test pressings up on the TMstores website if that's your thing, but only 50 so be quick. I hate TMstores through, had plenty of problems with them before.

Hate the cover, dislike the video, track is ok. - Track: 7/10 - Cover: 3/10 - Video: 4/10 Must try harder. I rather like the track, but I think 4/10 is a tad generous on the video front.

I actually like what I saw in terms of visuals from the trailer and I just bought the Deluxe signed CD and t-shirt bundle because I think the Tallulah logo looks great. Love the 90s aesthetic, just think the actual album cover is awful - like properly awful.

Sounds like a Generation Freakshow track. Really enjoying it. Exactly my thoughts. Pete mentioned a couple of GF b-sides on his Anorak Facebook page, and that's what I'm hearing. It has a bit of Arms about it, and Arms is my favourite song from the GF-era. I do hope the album has a bit more unpredictability about some songs (All Bright Electric-style), but I'm really excited about it anyway. I've never bought a vinyl album before (only singles), but I'm tempted to buy the CD and vinyl with it being a picture disc.

Yikes 4k views on the YouTube video for the first day. Feeder need a better publicist.. A pretty good ratio of 498 thumbs up to 0 thumbs down though. After 2 or 3 listens I really started loving the song, to the point where I feel like i've known it for years. Definitely feel the Generation Freakshow vibes too. Anyone else feel a little disappointed that there is no sign of any bonus tracks anywhere. Just a 12 track album and that's it?

I have tickets to the Toronto concert. I guess good thing it got rescheduled, since I guess instead of getting the usual Best Of playlist, perhaps I will hear Fear Of Flying, and hopefully a few other tracks off the new album played live. Would be nice.
This will be my first Feeder concert, since I've never been able to afford going overseas to see them, so I am pumped. As for the new song, it is growing on me, I am starting to really like it.

Ah good point, I never really thought about it in the excitment of it all. ABE deluxe 'book' edition had 3 extra tracks did it not? So would be dissapointing if this one didn't. Although saying that I kind of miss the old B sides way of releasing extra songs. Anyone else wish the Cassettes were singles which complimented the CD / Vinyl album, seems a bit pointless having the exact same listing across every format / colour variation.

I think Pushing The Senses was the last album that didn't have any bonus tracks? Silent Cry, Renegades, Generation Freakshow, ABE all had special editions or iTunes exclusives etc.

Kinda reminds me of "Feel It Again". Definitely getting ‘Feel It Again’ vibes from this, in fact, the intro reminds me of ‘Forget About Tomorrow’ (I don’t know why...). I know people are comparing it to Generation Freakshow, but I think it draws more from the Comfort in Sound era. Loving the track anyway, definitely their most instant since ‘Borders’, at least!

New feeder yay! My first reaction to FoF was slightly underwhelmed but after a few more listens I really like it, particularly the pre-chorus and chorus. It flows along really nicely. Definite foot tapper!
Also Grant is notorius for picking the wrong song for first single (in my view anyway) so that is a good sign that even better to come!

After hearing FoF several times I have a more detailed picture of the song. Feeder have done a decent job mixing old school and current band styles. I think Grant is starting to make songs easier to sing that push less his vocal chords. His old voice won't come back so he has to adapt the songs so they sound good even with that handicap. The brigde is simple but effective and reminds me of Swim/Polythene era a little bit. The chorus has that intensity increase that most of ABE and Arrow songs lacked.
Lookin' forward to hearing the rest of the album. So far so good.

Here's press copy about the album from the Roundhouse's website: "Feeder are ready to come full circle. More than two decades after their first show the band are reinvigorated, tapping into the essential, primal energy that first inspired them. New album Tallulah is evidence of this – snappy song writing, expertly produced, and completely natural, completely organic. Tallulah is perhaps the band’s most creative yet also concise record, an album that takes real chances while remaining committed to their punk-edged melodies and crisp song construction." www.roundhouse.org.uk/whats-on/2019/feeder/(Sounds good. I think 'full circle' is also how they described 'Renegades')

Can anyone help complete the lyrics for me?
"Take a quick peek look at my world, Grow a thick skin......"
It sounds like Grant sings "vitamin pills", but It cant be that can it?

It sounds like Grant sings "vitamin pills", but It cant be that can it? I’m sure it’s ‘vitamin pills’. I think the song is about being an (ageing) rock musician. He’s saying: my world is (among the other things) growing thick skin (presumably in response to criticism and the ups and downs of fame), vitamin pills (which lots of musicians take to stay vaguely healthy on the road).
