At least from the video above, the crowd really didn't respond to Stereo World.
I hope that doesn't deter the boys from playing it later in the tour!

5 shows in, it looks like the set has settled.
Decompress, World Asleep and Stereo World lasted one show.
Buck Rogers is in the show every night.
No sign of Oxygen, etc, from the lighting-desk presets.
Feeder gonna Feeder.

Alternatively several songs that have been played every show for years are now taking a well earned break.
Meanwhile I am so looking forward to hearing MPD, Radiation and Godzilla played back to back. That is something I did not expect.
I would like a few more songs, such as the return of World Asleep or the likes of Oxygen, but this is still a revolution in Feeder terms.

Yeah I'm happy they're at least starting to mix it up a little bit.
I'm fine with Just a Day and Buck Rogers at every show (and to be honest the crowd reaction from both make them worth it anyway) if they're happy to occasionally drop some of the others.
Seven Days in the Sun and Insomnia have grown a little tired in recent years. Come Back Around I'm still a big fan of, but again happy for it to make way for some variation if need be.

I avoided spoilers and was amazed and delighted to hear Radiation in Manchester. That would've been my top pick if I'd had the choice. It was a very good set overall, with the new stuff sounding great. Fear of Flying, Kyoto and Tallulah are my three favourites from Tallulah, so those picks couldn't have been better for me. Great to still hear 3 songs from the most recent album before Torpedo, and the only track I'm not a big fan of was Godzilla. I can't help being a little disappointed having had 20+ songs in recent tours, and Insomnia coming in for World Asleep or My Perfect Day - we had neither in Manchester. And also with Grant teasing some old songs in the sets - then actually the only one was Radiation. But overall, the pros outweigh the cons, although I wouldn't be saying that if it wasn't for Radiation in the set! I'm hoping for Radiation again in Birmingham. MPD and World Asleep would be great too. Seeing the Shade and Oxygen mentions though - they're two of my favourite live songs from any band. Radiation still my top pick again, but fingers crossed for more 'old-school' as well as Decompress! To add another artist the number of songs, I'm seeing Gilbert O'Sullivan (aged 75) soon, and he's been playing 29 songs on a single night. Teenage Fanclub and Sea Power are bands I've seen play sets of 25+ songs - all three of these acts are less well known than Feeder. Although I'm also with Niai in that Grant seems relatively set in his ways with setlists, and at least there have been plenty of positives this tour. Feeder are and always have been my favourite band for good reason.

I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I'm going to Brixton next Friday, and I'm particularly looking forward to hearing 'Radiation'.
It's weird, but I'm feeling nervous about the show. Nervous that it might be my last Feeder show.
I've been diehard fan since I saw them on a whim at Brixton Academy in 1999 touring 'Yesterday Went Too Soon'. I've been at the London stop of every album tour since, except 'Silent Cry' (can't remember why), plus festivals, the Renegades gigs and Grant's first solo show. Many of my fondest live-music memories are Feeder (Glastonbury 2000, Tower Records 2001, Reading 2002 (their first big show after Jon died)). Their music is part of me. A hundred of their songs are in my muscle memory on the guitar.
But I dunno... on the 'Tallulah' tour, I found myself zoning out.
There are some songs that I just don't 'need' to hear live any more. This Feeder line-up is my least favourite, musically. Grant's voice is not what it was, which is to be expected, except I don't think he's adapted the material to match (for me, detuning the guitars instead of learning new fingerings can make songs that were not written that way sound muddy).
I dunno...
A friend of mine had a similar experience recently with his favourite band. He went to a gig and the magic just was not conjured in him like it had been for 25 years of shows previously. And in a Marie Kondo-like way, he kinda thanked them for all they had meant to him, and let them go. I think that's playing on my mind. It's a strange feeling, especially when a band has meant so much for so long.
Either way, I'll always listen to the new albums the morning they're released.
I hope I'm wrong.
Wish me luck.

I wish you luck WFC, I really hope you get your Feeder mojo back.
I thought Rock City last night was excellent despite it being the shortest Feeder gig I've seen for sometime. I love the new material although there is a decreasing amount of it in the set. Decompress went early then Wall of Silence and now Desperate Hour has done. Personally I'd have liked to have had Slow Strings instead. The openers - The Healing and Magpie were amazing.
The final five songs of the set were just epic. Radiation, MPD, Insomnia, Godzilla and High. Yeah I would have liked to hear something other than Insomnia but it just fitted perfectly and Godzilla isn't a great fave but any different oldie is good, again it just fitted.
The excuse for not 'resting' Buck Rogers was it's Echo Park's 21st. To which my response would be there are 11 other tracks on EP, most of which haven't been heard in a very long time such as... Oxygen.

I lost my Feeder mojo twice and wondered if I should stick to the memories and not see Feeder again. First some time after Comfort in Sound was released, but then came a brilliant V Festival gig with Feel it Again in the set. The next time was the Pushing the Senses era and those arena gigs - probably the first time I'd felt a Feeder gig to be boring for more than a song. The sound or atmosphere wasn't great though.
But once again, the next time I saw Feeder, they blew me away!
For me, new material keeps Feeder gigs fresh whatever else they play. I'm not a huge fan of PTS and Silent Cry (apart from a few great tracks), so the 5-album run from Renegades onwards has been Feeder's best for me (a 4-album run would be their first four).
Grant's talked about doing a full album show for Comfort in Sound next year, which I would like to see. First choice would be Polythene and YWTS though.

Yeah I also lost my Feeder mojo after Comfort in Sound when they went all arena and the Pushing The Senses album largely passed me by at the time. Then they did one of those odd things they don't do often enough, but like now, and mixed up the set a little. They dropped in Dry and Cement which apparently fell rather flat because the likes of me weren't there any more. I've been to every tour since!

Probably a dumb question but tonight's my first gig (anywhere) since 2019 so I just thought it was worth double-checking normal etiquette hadn't somehow changed in that time!
I'm assuming Feeder basically don't get on stage before 9?

Went to see the boys last night in Birmingham. Firstly, the quality of the performance was great. Came away feeling a little deflated that we got 17 songs (compared to 23 on the Tallulah tour, same venue). I also thought the Tallulah spectacle was much more impressive (the backdrop changing, ie. Comfort in Sound for the title track) but the musicianship side has definitely got so much better.
Nothing from Renegades, Generation Freakshow and All Bright Electric was a surprise, seeing as Renegades and ABE had tracks that definitely fit the mould of the set. Also surpised to see 3 Tallulah tracks but I admire them for being bold with that choice, seems that Grant hasn't let go of not being able to the second part of that tour because of the pandemic.
Great to see Radiation in there, made the night for me. Also, Godzilla takes about 2 minutes flat, so definitely room for more but did enjoy that moment :')
I think the sprinkling of 1 or 2 extra known songs: Lost & Found, Renegades, Pushing the Senses, Come Back Around, 7 Days, (To name a few).... might have just kept some of the less die-hard happier throughout the set. As it did seem a bit flat in parts. But here's hoping they do part 2 of the Torpedo tour.

Just on my way home from the Brixton show.
Not sure if this has been the case at all shows as I’ve deliberately tried to avoid spoilers (I assume it probably has), but the first third, almost first half felt almost little flat at times with that setlist run. In a way I appreciate their focus on newer material as we had the greatest hits tour already (wow, was that really 4 years ago?), but having 8 songs of the opening 10 be from the two most recent albums just doesn’t really give the crowd much of a chance to get going.
Picked up almost immediately thereafter though. Radiation and My Perfect Day back to back was a real treat. I appreciate that Godzilla is a rarity, but it’s never been one of my favourites from Comfort in Sound if I’m totally honest. Still, it’s heavy and it’s quite short, so more than happy with its inclusion!
I know Grant is tiring of them, but they just cannot ever drop Buck Rogers or Just a Day if you ask me. Buck Rogers was the first time the entire crowd truly came alive and it was probably the best atmosphere of the night (along with Just a Day immediately after). I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Buck Rogers in particular myself, it could be that I’ve just genuinely not listened to it once since I last saw them in November 2019. Feeder just don’t have anything that’ll ever come close to ending a show like those two do.
Them totally ignoring a 4 album run was strange though. Silent Cry, Renegades, Generation Freakshow, All Bright Electric…not even a single song from that 2008 - 2016 period. I’ve been clamouring for something from Silent Cry in particular for over 5 years now, I’ll never understand why they just never seem to acknowledge it. We got 9 extra songs the last time they played Brixton (even just an extra 4 when I saw them in Oxford the year after), so there’s definitely room!
Still, my first live gig of any kind since November 2019 and how welcome it was. Definitely helps that I love the Brixton Academy as a venue.

Loved my firest feeder show although it did feel very short wasnt a huge fan of having 8 songs of the opening 10 be from the two most recent albums like you said still dont know why they didnt play anything from Silent Cry, Renegades, Generation Freakshow, All Bright Electric does Grant hate the Silent Cry album or something because it seem to never be played (he said a while back on facebook that they toured it heavy when it came out so thats why they dont play it) songs they really should of added Pushing the senses, Come Back Around, Seven Days in the Sun, Yesterday went to Soon, Helium (since the show was haevy based), We are the People, Silent Cry, Call Out, Generation Freakshow & Universe of Life or Eskimo I guess it really hard to make a setlist when you have 195 songs/11 hours (according the Feeder: The Complete Discography playlist on Spotify) and can only play for an hour and a half Insomnia, High, Buck Rogers, Just a Day, Feeling a Moment & Just the Way I'm Feeling all sounding amazing they could of added 1 more song at the end since they did like 2 min of extra jamming but all in all it was a great night and very happy to have finally seen feeder heres hoping on the next tour they play 20 - 26 songs like they did on there best of tour cause lets be real the songs on that tour + a few from the new albums is what the fans really want *security guards pissed me off through out the night Grant wanted 90's style mosh and as soon as the crowd did anything they starting running over and stopping anything and also im trying to listen to the music and there big bald head getting in the way trying to offer water right in the middle of song ((still greatful they had lots of water going they never had this a few years ago)) and one of them opened the water bottle and seperated the pastic cups with his teeth that was a bit grose

Well... I got my Feeder mojo back That was my favourite Feeder show in years: - The set had a theme and progression to it (rather than being a bunch of disparate songs)
- The line-up is finally(!) gelling
- Fewer 'must plays'!!
I particularly enjoyed 'Magpie', 'Born to Love You' and, obviously, 'Radiation'. Did I have issues? Sure. - It was a short set
- Even with the comparatively adventurous set, over half of the material was played on the last tour in 2019
- Grant sacked a load of material after the first night in Bexhill! (I can kinda understand dropping 'Wall of Silence' (not sure it would fit the tone) and World Asleep' given the inclusion of 'Radiation' which scratches a similar itch, and the pull of safety towards that crowd-pleasing one-two punch of 'My Perfect Day' and 'Insomnia', but I thought that 'Decompress' and 'Desperate Hour' would have fit perfectly, and I'd certainly like to hear them more than, say, 'Kyoto'
- Sloppy tempos. This one really gets to me. For me, tempo is as much a part of a song as melody and lyrics. 'Torpedo' got out from under them, and 'Fear of Flying' and 'When It All Breaks Down' started out rushed then accelerated in a way that had me wishing it was Karl or Mark Richardson behind the kit.
Will I go again? Yes. But I don't think I'll book when tickets go on sale. Instead I'll wait to see how the set is shaping up. I have no desire to see another greatest hits set. But if they hold their nerve by continuing to mix things up and giving each tour a theme, I'll be there!

World Asleep, Stereo World and Decompress were the one and dones. Godzilla is terrible.. of all the songs they could bring back and keep around

The excuse for not 'resting' Buck Rogers was it's Echo Park's 21st. Grant just posted on Instagram that Polythene is 25 years old today. And obviously, 2022 is Comfort in Sound's 20th anniversary. So, yeah that's a weird argument for 'Buck Rogers' 🤷♂️

I was thinking about some other bands and musicians I've seen recently who LOVE the joy their biggest hit(s) give to the crowd. I wonder how Grant doesn't feel that way about Buck Rogers? I'd love to bring so much joy to so many people.
Not that I'm saying Grant is cold or anything - he's far from it!

Belfast set is in: one song longer than the standard Torpedo set.
They added: - Lost & Found - Come Back Around - Yesterday Went Too Soon
And dropped: - Radiation - My Perfect Day

I got the feeling that Feeder has been bleeding out. The media coverage is non existing, the following of fans is shrinking and the assets of Grant's voice are diminished. He lost the power in his voice in combination with (soft)high pitches after 2002, then he lost reaching high pitches after the throatbleedings in 2005 and after 2008 his voice became weaker and weaker over the years. Last week I attended the Cardiff Stadium concert with Stereophonics as main performance. The crowd response towards Feeder was very weak. Kelly Jones is I think 6 or 7 years younger than Grant Nicholas but the difference in performances is huge! Maybe it is time to say goodbay because less and less songs are suitable for Grant's voice (Tender is an examption ).
