The dickhead at the tube station on thursday who barged past me, knocking my holdall flying off my shoulder and cauing me to get a massive nasty bruise on my arm.
and
The twat who can't drive who has scratched the side of dad's car. Honestly, i leave the car there for 1 night and it gets hit. I lived there for a year and my car got hit several times. I swear i'm not leaving my car in London again...idiots can't drive.

I hate 99% of people on the tube. Then I glance up, and catch the eye of that 1%
We share the knowing grimace, briefly united by the scenarios of pushing tourists on to the lines and laughing as they scream for help, which manifest in our minds. Then the tube doors slide shut and I try and battle my way through the crowds. It's just another opportunity to meet a like mind wasted, but I don't want to see me on the Tubes every god damn day.

Why is my best friend suddenly being incredibly quiet with us when ever we're with him? Maybe he's still sulking, or maybe it's because he's a useless fucking drug addict who doesn't know when to say no.
Today, for the first time in a while there were drugs available to me all day, which I did not touch. I've been consciously cutting way back since I left London, but just looking at him constantly on the shotties made me feel a bit sick.

and now i feel a bit guity. i'm talking to him, and i can understand why he's been a bit quiet and anti-social lately and it's not entirely down to the drugs, but i still think he's on it too often!

with you there, my man.
i'm dreading the next week, in which i have to set up a student account (without any ID so I guess I'm sticking with Barclays. Sigh.) and phone various places to change addresses. that at least should be simple, but it NEVER FUCKING IS.

At least you get a massive interest free overdraft .
|

|

which i do not plan on touching until I have exhausted all other means of cash. Unless something huge happens that I have to pay out for, I should be able to stay out of the old overdraft for a fair while at least. Got other bits of semi-accessible cash around which I'd rather use first before an overdraft!

I maxed my student overdraft in about the first 3 months of uni. But to be fair, my maintenance loan didn't even cover my rent!

Thank you bin men for not emptying my bins this week because you're on strike. And thank you also for striking the week after a bank holiday, when you didn't empty my bins because collection day fell on a bank holiday....even though in every other part of leeds they empty them on a different day.
Get some work done you lazy bastards!

I'm really hacked off with the media at the moment. I believe they're the ones responsible for exacerbating this recession, and just as we're coming out of the other end they are saying that we may enter a "double dip" model where things will get shit (very shit) again before things ultimately get better. They have been peddling this idea so much in the media that it now seems likely just by swaying public opinion of what is going to happen. I looked at a poll today on ThisIsMoney.co.uk which asks what form or model the reader thinks this recession will take and now it appears that the media's influence has made the most popular result the one which involves everything going to pot again. Argh when will they fucking learn?!! Pessimistic mother hubbards. People are losing their jobs and money over this sort of shit. But not anyone in the news, they'll be too busy reporting on how shit everything is. (

I maxed my student overdraft in about the first 3 months of uni. But to be fair, my maintenance loan didn't even cover my rent! mine leaves me with £400 after rent... gave up the chance of an en suite for that little bit of extra cash! (not that it bothers me. I haven't yet lived in a house with fewer than five others anyway. used to sharing). I was expecting some help with the rent from my parents. my da' suggested it actually, and just as I was warming to the idea and thinking "fuck it, i'll take any help. why be proud about it?" my ma' turns around and says "oh yeah, we're not doing that now." Fair enough if they dont want to, but letting me know three days before I actually move is a bit of a pain as I've got to come up with an extra couple hundred I thought I didn't need! Sigh. It's me birthday on the 25th. Usually get a couple of cheques totalling a hundred and something. I know exactly where that is going this year! What's making me smile hugely right now though is I'm getting caught up in my sisters worry and excitement about money and the like (she's moving to Brunel on Sunday!) when I moved to London with £11 and managed fine. argh! :/

ugh, PEOPLE! ones that get countless opportunities and repeatedly waste them or purposely create/exacerbate problems just so they have something to bitch about because they're attention seeking drama queens!

Am spending the day recifying a job that someone else has managed to fuck up.
Again.
For fucks sake, it's not hard. You transfer all officers personal info onto a speadsheet for our operations dept.
But no, some dates of birth are in the US format and some in UK. Some are just plain wrong !!! The spelling is shocking and don't get me started on the sporadic use of capital letters. Info is missing for some officers with "for Stacey to fill in" even though she knows I don't have that info here. All the files have to be at the office where she is based, hence us asking for this spreadsheet so we can also have a copy of the info.
It's just as well i checked it all. I only originally wanted to change the basic format to make it more legible (as it's also very messy and unprofessional looking).
I might as well have spent a day down there doing it all myself.
It's time she went now really, she was given her 4 weeks notice 5 weeks ago. We're not pushing her out as she came to us from a big client of ours who loves her and pissing them off could cost us a major contract. But she's dragging her heels. I've been told if i want to go in and manage her (push her out gently) i can. But no can do...i'd get too annoyed with her attempting to fob me off with shit like this and just tell her to get lost.
The thing is, she's actually a nice person...but she can't be arsed to do a proper job.
