Not the Feeder track. Actual chicken, on the bone. It's so damn annoying! You expend more energy separating the miserable morsels of meat from the bone than you gain from eating it, leaving you feeling more hungry at the end of the meal than you were to start with. Then what you're left with at the end of the meal looks like what's left of an animal carcass after a Lion's been at it. In addition to this, compared to breast meat, wing and leg meat are slimy and not remotely as tasty. To cap it all, peas! What good are they? They taste okay but because of stupid etiquette you have to eat the little buggers with a fork. You can't scoop them up because that's wrong and the Queen will think you're a slob, so you either have to push them onto the fork with your knife and shovel them into your mouth before they fall on your trousers, or skewer them with the prongs, which requires the same hand-eye coordination found in fighter pilots. Mercy I cry, give me a spoon!!!!! (As you can probably guess I've just had a particularly unsatisfying meal...)

I agree about chicken on a bone...such hassle. I don't like it when i have to play about with my food to eat it. And by the time you've finished faffing about everything else has gone cold.
I've mastered the art of eating peas before they end up in your lap though so i don't mind them.

I sometimes struggle with Spaghetti too. It's usually on one of those days you're forever dropping things or can't seem to write, when your hands just don't work. And then you have spaghetti and can't even eat, it's almost enough to make you cry

Should I start a lesson called 'How to eat Spaghetti'? But mind you, I've very picky: I've never seen 'The Godfather' because I know there's a scene where they eat spaghetti like an Italian would never do, so I refuse to watch it... compared to breast meat, wing and leg meat are slimy and not remotely as tasty. Chicken breasts make me retch. Wings are my favourite chicken part, 'cause I love the skin and the crispy bits... To cap it all, peas! What good are they? They taste okay but because of stupid etiquette you have to eat the little buggers with a fork. In England you cook peas in a weird way...Very difficult to eat them with a fork! And it's a very common side dish in the UK! We cook them in a different way, which is much easier to eat them. Lesson number 2 :'How to cook peas'....

how should we cook peas ? I personally just shovel with the fork if I have peas ... perhaps with the aid of some sauce to aid the stickyness ( i have BBQ sauce on most things! ) I too prefer chicken without bones though ... much less hassle.

how should we cook peas ? We cook them in a pan with olive oil and chopped onion or garlic, so they make a sort of creamy sauce and it's easier to eat them. My favourite recipe is : a bit of olive oil, a garlic clove (or chopped onions) , you warm it up a little. You add peas and when they're almost ready you add tomato sauce with few basil leaves and you make them cook few minutes. This is even yummier if you brown some bacon dice in the onions! I like peas, but I don't find them that special in the way you cook in the UK...I have to use sauces as well, so they're yummier and easier to eat!

I HATE peas. They are small balls of evil! AAARGH kill them all! Also, in Australia nobody spears their peas on the end of their fork. I've never seen anybody do it. Just like practically nobody eats spaghetti here with a spoon. So what I do when I eat peas is have a mouthful of something else, THEN put the peas in, then swallow them, being extra careful not to bite them. No essence of peas can possibly be released into my mouth! But chicken on a bone, I LOVE IT. I don't think it's hard to eat. I just cut it carefully off the bone, and they don't mind if you gnaw bones here, generally. Breast is OK but I generally find it a bit boring. I think leg and wing meat is a LOT tastier than breast meat. And I'm a quick eater sometimes I actually eat the smaller bones.... Quail is great too - that's FULL of tiddly bones My main problem is icecreams. Everyone says I am stupid because I lick my icecreams instead of biting them. But if I bite them my teeth freeze off and it causes a lot of pain! Why can't I just lick my icecreams? Apparently it's juvenile, and some people always relate it to oral sex

That hurts my teeth too. However, I CAN bite weiss bars, but I don't actually bite them. I just use my teeth to break pieces off.

I've tried it...it doesn't work. It doesn't really create a problem for eating as it's only ice cream or really cold drinks that bother me. So i just lick ice cream and either wait for drinks to be less cold or i drink them carefully.

I can't bite into ice cream if it's in a cone but I can bite chunks off ice lollies or things like magnums... anything on a stick.

Back on to the subject of chicken on a bone...guess what i had for dinner today?
Now even though i'm not overly keen on it i can usually eat it, but today it was just...urgh. I had a bout three bits of it and had to leave the rest, it was all weird.
Rest of the dinner was nice though.

I had pork for sunday dinner. And it wasn't on the bone! Chicken is a pain in the arse when it's on the bone but nothing compares to red meat on the bone, something like a lamb chop is ridiculous, I'd say that on the average chop only about 30% of it is actually meat.

ARGH! You try eating ribs I had some in Germany, they were like half a cow and I ate a fair volume of meat but most of it was bones... But you try eating shanks. Or quail..that'll give you a run for your money.
