I hate them i really do.
We rang them up a few weeks ago to reconnect our phone line in new house. They did but they reconnected the wrong one. Our house has two seperate lines which we didn't know. This should have flagged up on their computers and they should have given us a choice of which line.
Now for two weeks we've tried countless times to get through to someone who has at least the smallest grasp of the english language. We've explained it to about 15 different people only to be told "we have no record of that line ever existing". Erm, the previous tennants (our landlords) used that as their main line only 3 months ago...how can you not have a record?
Finally got through to them again today only to be told that we need to pay £124.99 for someone to come and install that line again (which we expected) but also a new contract of £11 a month needs to be set up and we'll be charged the full amount left on the contract for the other line when it's cut off.
Erm why can't they transfer the number/contract? They can when you move house.
We told them to leave it for now cause we need to discuss it together but they've cut us off anyway! Erm well if they think we're paying when we didn't give them permission to cut us off they've got another thing coming.
Oh and if that's not stupid enough, when Chlo originally rang she told them three times that we wanted the basic rate at £11 a month yet when we got the direct debit agreement they'd put us on £19 a month!
The only reason we went with BT was because we need it to get Sky.
The reason i'm in Leeds at the moment is because i need constant phone and net access for work (i work from home).
The lesson we've learned is don't use BT, ever.
