Well, that's a bit of a bugger I've got a bunch of VHS tapes of rallying, touring cars etc which I don't really watch any more but would rather keep on DVD so that when I do choose to watch them it's more convenient. Anyway, our player downstairs records onto DVD and VHS, and between the two formats. So, I take my favourite rallying one to burn to DVD, set it off but the tape was protected, so I put a bit of sellotape over the gap to remove the protection and set it off again. Come back to it about 2 hours later, and guess which way around it's recorded? Yup, thats right, I've overwritten my rally vid with whatever was already on the DVD. Shite. So I've had to order another copy of the VHS to try again, which will then be sold again when the tape has successfully been copied. Bit of a hassle I didn't need. Anyway, anyone else done anything particularly stupid like that? I hearby christen this thread the great cock-ups thread...

Well I haven't done anything like that personally, but my boyfriends boss went on a cruise with his wife. A very expensive one visiting every country you can think of. The wife took all the photos on her digi camera, then ,as hubby thought he knew what he was doing, she gave him the camera to put the pix onto the pc. he inserted the memory card, and all the pix came up, Great he thought , the photos are there, he then put the card back into the camera and deleted all the photos on it. Stupid bast... had forgotten to copy them onto the pc first. so they lost all of them. His wife wasn't definately not impressed.

I climbed over a fence last wednesday in Wales only for it to collapse on me. Spent a while trying to fix that...
