I'm so glad Fulham stayed up. Out of the bottom 7/8 they've played the best football with a fit team. Hodgson has done so well and they've played good football with the return of Bullard and McBride, with Davies and even Murphy playing rather well. All they need now is a solid defense and a keeper and they should be safe for next season.

Yeah so Eriksson is a goner. Unbelievable that was!
In other news, yay for Bristol City, Hull, and of course Man Utd.

It's not 100% confirmed yet about Sven is it?
What a day to be a Man you fan though... Winning the title by points not goals, and City getting pummelled 8-1!
Another great final day for the Premiership... Not, in my mind, as good as last year though... The relegation battle was amazing to listen to on 5 live last year... At some point during the afternoon every team in the struggle was in the relegation spots... Unbelievable.

Does anybody think that 8-1 thrashing was the players saying to the chairman that they want Sven still? They didn't seem to turn up at all!

I really wanted to see all the goals but only managed the 'Championship' battle games and the start of the relegation ones on MOTD last night. I was tired and the constant switching between games was totally confusing me.

They didn't seem to turn up at all! to be fair to Man City, take a look at their defence : Jihai, Corluka, Dunne, Ball Apart from Dunne, they're not great defenders, and Corluka is a full back, not a centre half. Add to that Dunne getting sent off and you'll find that they were very short at the back. Not really a surprise the lost so heavily.

Their whole team was awful on the day. Their midfielders didn't show up - even if they were playing on my pub team I'd give them absolute hell for their performance.
But looking at City's season on the whole - surely they must keep Sven, despite their dip in the 2nd half of the season. Sven has brought in some quality players and can build on that in the summer, couple that with a double over Man Utd and you have yourself an awesome City Season!

i think if you've got a manger in and let him spend money to form a team you've gotta give him more than 1 season tbh.

I've just checked our Fantasy Football League and that 8-1 thrashing was fine for me as I moved up to 3rd place on the final day with an Alves hat-trick (quite a few of my other players scored too). Did anyone else bother with it? I managed to check it at least every 2 or 3 weeks this year, though was still rock-bottom about half-way through (cue everyone saying that's when they gave up ). Here's the final table: fantasy.premierleague.com/M/table.mc?id=27377Well done Pete.

I checked up on it every couple of weeks. It was pretty close in areas! I moved up from the bottom 3 thanks to a couple of good weeks, a bit like Fulham!

WHY IN FRESH HELL does one take off his leading scorer when 2-0 down in a cup tie to put on fat lazy arsed Tresor Kandol? Thank fuck Mr Freedman scored (95:40 minutes, think that's a new record for us, and we've set a few of those this season) otherwise I'd be even more grrrrrrrrr.
Okay okay, we weren't that bad, Carlisle's keeper was in fantastic form and if it wasn't for him we'd be 3-0 up by half time (well, 3-1 up seeing as Danny Graham's Fat Arse put them ahead) but seriously, we needed that goal. It'll teach them for sitting back on a 2-0 lead with 40 minutes left.
Only half-time yet folks.

Thank fuck Mr Freedman scored To be fair he only scored because Kandol confused the defence, it was a sitter! Was actually a good game, watched it all on Sky. Leed's are lucky boys, but I can't see them winning at Carlise...

No-one could see Carlisle winning at Leeds either.
Lol, yeah, I will admit Kandol did actually have a few nice touches, he kept shooting from like 35-40 yards out though, and apart from the last chance, whenever the ball came into the box he was on his arse.

To be fair he is a player in the Heskey mould, which I don't like. I'm not saying it's over, and I think Leeds have every chance if Carlisle try and defend it.

3-0 by half-time? According to the commentary I heard Carlisle deserved more than a 2-1 win.

We'll see I guess. Anyone can beat anyone in this division, and if we played like we did in the last 40 minutes (albeit with better finishing) we should be alright. On a side note, I love Neil Kilkenny to bits. 3-0 by half-time? According to the commentary I heard Carlisle deserved more than a 2-1 win. I never said we were the better team in the first half... We had the better chances and their keeper was in top form. 26 shots at goal don't lie.

On Radio 5 they said Carlisle had the first 75 minutes and Leeds the last 15 (or 21, they should have said ), and Leeds didn't deserve anything from the match. Indeed those stats suggest otherwise. : )

Right, if Hull make it into the Premier League, I'll lost faith in everything that is good and right with the world. There is no way I'll accept that a team who's fans (Well, the majority of) are so up themselves it's untrue, and the minority are so thick that they actually lobbed potatoes at a Lincoln City fans coach when they ran out of pebbles...
Seriously, there's something wrong with English football when Hull get into the top flight.
'mon the Brizzle!

Bad luck to Rangers. I didn't watch the game and I don't care really but I still would have opted for them to win last night.

with the prospect of Stoke and Hull or Bristol City going into the Premiership, Derby fans must be getting warm feelings that their record shit performance this year can be be beaten!
