With the season drawing to a close, any else excited about the games that are left? Man Utd and Barcelona was a serious game last night, really tense. Have a feeling tonight will be the same, with hopefully no random own goals. Also think Chelsea are going to win... And how good are the leagues this year? All so unpredictable and down to the wire. I think Wolves are in with a good shout of the play offs, seeing as how rubbish Watford have been in recent weeks. Also don't forget Southend are in the play offs already, and will be playing in the Championship next seeing, sorry Kev.

Why apologise? 5pm tomorrow is when we'll hear the news on our points... Edgy times. Still, you have to admit that cementing a playoff place with one game left after starting on -15 and changing management mid-season is impressive.

I don't deny it, Leeds are one of the best teams in the division. Which is why I'm hoping that you win your appeal... In the whole controversy thats surrounded Leeds all season, I applaud the players and coaching staff for getting the job done. Would of been easy to fall apart. Scholes' goal was classic stuff, no one in the world was saving that.

Didn't see it to be honest. I don't mind Southend, I think I'd rather see them win the playoffs (unless we're in them ). I'd like to see Forest down here for another season.

as a chelsea fan, hell yes i'm excited by this season! going down to fulham tonight to watch chels - liverpool with all the boys in the So Bar opposite the ground - its gonna be rammed, the atmosphere is going to be top notch, i'm preparing my voice to sing up all night. and the nerves are big big big time kicking in. slight advantage to us having the away goal, but its still too soon to call either way to be honest. i hate playing liverpool premiership wise, i don't expect us to win it, man utd have to drop points and we have to win both remaining games. but its great to be right up there after everyone wrote us off months ago. odd situation 'cos even if we do the unthinkable and win both the prem and champs league i maintain its inspite of Grants management, not because of it. he has to go.championship - going to go to the wire with relegation there, would like to see southamptom survive tbh. i detest watford so as long as they don't come up i'm happy. league one - got a few mates who support notts forest, got a few mates who support leeds so i'm keeping an eye on all that. was bullied by forest fans at school though so my preference is currently leeds. shame leyton orient died away in that league after a promising start. squeaky bum time foks

shame leyton orient died away in that league after a promising start. Can't say I agree. So are you for or against Avram? Something that gets me is that when Chelsea play well and win, he gets no praise from the fans or media, but when they lose then it's all his fault. >_>

So are you for or against Avram? Something that gets me is that when Chelsea play well and win, he gets no praise from the fans or media, but when they lose then it's all his fault. >_> i think he's done an adequate job in circumstances where he was pretty much thrown in the deep end unexpectedly. losing Jose was a bad decision, but i don't think the club or mourinho planned or expected it to happen when it did, 2 months into the season. the 2 main problems with arvam are: he came into the job instantly declaring he would make us play the attractive flowing football that the media (yes, the media, not the chelsea fans) were demanding. and other than say the rout v man city, and the game v man utd, this hasn't happened he's not got the team to perform any better than we did under mourinho, and more to the point, we look more shaky defensively and prone to silly mistakes. so first problem - he hasn't delivered the football he said he would. second problem, by coming straight in and announcing that he was (to a lot of fans) diminishing and belittling everything that mourinho achieved. he was effectively saying "5 trophies in 3 seasons? back to back titles? first championship win in 50 years? best points winning total and least goals conceded? doesn't matter 'cos the style of football was wrong". bearing in mind that mourinho is probably the most popular manager at chelsea in decades, if not ever, he instantly alienates a large proportion of the fan base. hence not being popular. honestly, i don't agree with booing etc by fans, it doesn't help the team. and joint top of the prem and semi final of champs league - can't argue with that. (BUT going out of the fa cup to barnsly and performing the way we did v spurs in the carling cup? not good). Grant is NOT a top team manager. he's not a bad manger but he is completely out of his depth at this level (think putting alan curbishley in charge of barcelona or ac milan - its ludicrous) for me its a case of, thanks for the 7 months caretaking, but thats all i want.

I agree with Chloe on the Avram front, definately out of his depth. I also despise Abramovich, pouring money into a random club (initially he was going to buy Sprus..) to get them successful, has one of the best managers in the world (and easily the most charesmatic) and fires him because they arn't playing like Arsenal and Barcelona.
He's a prat, and pretty much the reason why I always support Chelseas opposition.

This season has been the worst season in my 17 years as a Norwich City Season ticket holder.
At least we didn't go down, though.

He's a prat, and pretty much the reason why I always support Chelseas opposition. and how many trophies have arsenal and barce bot between them this season... tbh i feel the whole "chelsea are always boring" is a bit of a myth, on our day we can out play anyone and can play some amazing footbal (granted its not as often as maybe it could be) but i will take trophies and success over flair anyday. technically mourinho left by 'mutual consent'. and i don't necessarily think it was only because roman wants a different type of football, i think there was a big ego/personality clash between them both, and theclub felt he drew too much attention/negative press with what he said at times. but a large proportion of that is down to the media twisting a lot of what he said and his meaning. the reading/cech injury/ambulance occasion springs to mind. press made out mourinho slagging off the amulance service. he didn't, if you listen to the actual press conference he complained about the length of time between chelsea asking for an ambulance and reading actually calling for one. mourinho got absolutely slaughtered for that for no need.
