Haven't been on the boards in a couple of weeks, here's my recent footballing summary: [you]Man Utd - Barca[/you] Well tense game, but also very cagey. Man Utd scored an amazing goal and then stopped Barcelona playing. Professional performance, glad they're in the final. [you]Chelsea - Liverpool[/you] Poor first half, capped by a brilliant second + extra time! Wanted Liverpool to win as I pretty much hate Chelsea(sorry), but have to say Chelsea fully deserve their win... why on Earth was Torres taken off? [you]Leeds[/you] Southend VS Leeds play off final written all over it now!

Yeah that is probably more fair - I believe Celtic were trying to keep it to 4 games in 8 days (obviously to increase their chances of winning the SPL) To be honest even after Celtic's win over Rangers i still reckon Rangers are going to win as they have been so dominant here this season - strange to think they came 3rd in the league just a couple of seasons ago - dunno if they'll win the UEFA cup final (if they do then they are likely to win a Quadruple this season)

Talk about yer emotional rollercoaster. This afternoon. Bloody. Hell. Alan is a Bournemouth fan. Ben is a Cheltenham fan. I'm a Leeds fan (playing Gillingham). And Crewe, eh. We were all down the pub in our colours for an afternoon of Soccer Saturday. Stage 1. Gillingham went 1 up. Alan was devastated, for Gills had to win to stay up. Cheltenham were winning too so Ben was smilin'. Things were tense as this would mean Bournemouth and Crewe would get relegated (Crewe were getting their arses handed to them). I wasn't too fussed with who was winning at the top end (for our playoff matches) as it would simply have been quite a lot to comprehend at once. Bournemouth fell behind after half time too, so things were rather depressing. Stage 2. Within 60 seconds, Leeds and Bournemouth both equalised, leading to a relieved Alan and Kev, but a nervous-as-hell Ben - even though the Cherries were down at this stage, they only needed a goal to be safe. Then Donny equalised, Ben was almost un-consolable and things weren't looking good. But. Stage 3. Leeds took the lead. We'd done our bit, we had to avoid defeat against Gillingham to cut down the amount of relegation places to 1, which would be between Alan's team, Ben's team, and, uh. Crewe. Who were still getting their arses handed to them. Stage 4. Cheltenham score. We all knew that the Cherries just needed a winning goal to make a happy Kev, Alan and Ben - but unfortunately, it wasn't to be. Cue a devastated Alan + Alan's dad, a Ben who was struggling to contain his happiness, and a Kev who was in the playoffs anyway (but cheesed off that Forest had won - yet pleased we went up one place to 5th). Football eh? Bloody hell. James: Bring it on. The two form teams to meet at Wembley... Course, we gotta beat Carlisle first - the one team I really wanted us to avoid. Best of luck.

Matt was gutted Bournemouth were relegated. They put up a damn good fight in the end but it wasn't quite enough. Last time they dropped to league 2 we went to Cardiff for the play-off final. It was a cracking game which saw them promoted again. Let's hope they can knuckle down and get back!

West Ham got owned! And with Wigan winning I'd assume Man Utd have now won the title. As for League One, a bit rubbish because I'd prefer Carlisle then Doncaster. Still, I'll be there cheering on the lads! See you at Wembley Kev. I'm nervous about the Wolves game tomorrow. I think it will be a rollercoaster of a day...and I'm at work

If they finish level on points, then Man Utd win (unless Chelsea win 20-0 or something ridiculous...). My point is Wigan now have nothing to play for, and Steve Bruce is a Man Utd fan...so he may play the youngsters and roll over.

So another season in the Championship for Wolves... If we keep our decent players (Ebanks-Blake, Kightly and Hennessey), get a new manager in and buy some new defenders, we'll have one of the best teams in the division for next year. The problem is it's always about 'next year'. So sick of the disapointment that comes with being a Wolves fan. Then again, getting my tickets for Southend v Doncaster on Friday and planning a road trip for the 2nd leg! Also getting a season ticket for next year. Go on The Shrimpers, make sure this year isn't a complete dissapointment...

They're better than that. Heard some people shouting when we were washing the cars so thought things must have been going well. We're probably less than 2 miles from the ground!

Things are looking close in the SPL title race between Rangers and Celtic - Rangers need to win all their matches now if they are to definatly win it (and they've not won their last 4 I think)
Booo my team Kilmarnock are 2nd bottom (they won't get relegated at least because of Gretna but its not nice to be there)

*edits* Watching the women's FA Cup Final & Carly Telford for Leeds has made some outstanding saves. Arsenal winning by three goals, they're just too good!

Would love to go to the Leeds v Carlisle playoff first leg but it's on a Monday and I'm working/poor Even more depressing is that should we get to the final it'll be taking place in my back yard. Basically a lot of the tickets are going to members so it'll be dead hard getting some. Dad said he'd try and get a few though. Bloody Wembley!
