After a whole damn night of searching i found the answer! In the phone settings menu if you scroll down to USB settings there is a setting called "media player" just switch that on and when you connect it to the phone it automatically syncs to WMP....

my sony ericsson gives an option when it's plugged in for either 'file transfer' or 'sync' mode... I never use the sync mode because file transfer is quicker and easier to do.
Anyway... I could say the same thing ("STUPID FUCKING PHONE!!!") mine keeps unlocking itself in my pocket then phoning people... It's all because of where the stupid unlock buttons are, they're raised very very slightly so if i sit on my phone or lean on it, it unlocks, then it's prone to pressing buttons while in my pocket... I topped up with a tenner a few days ago so I could get my free texts, then I look today, and at some point it's phoned somebody and used up £9 of credit!!!!!!!!!! My guess is that somebody is going to have a long answering machine message.

You'd be pretty unlucky to to that and get it to unlock. It's certainly never happened to me and I've had SE phones for the past 4 years!

It's the 2 buttons directly below at each side of the screen (I have one of the slidey ones).

I haaaaate phones!
I just don't get the whole "oo camera wooooo" deal, and I can't text, and I hate talking on the phone (introvert/unsociability issues/not comfortable with the phone) so that pretty much makes a phone, especially a mobile, redundant. I still have one though, don't use it much though, only if I'm going out, and my parents want to meet me or something...
A while ago Dad bought $20 of credit for the phone, I entered it in and got the "blah blah your credit was entered successfully" and then for some reason, after I'd turned the phone off and had it in my bag for 2 weeks (taking no calls, phoning no one), next time I tried to call someone I get "YOU HAVE LESS THAN $2 CREDIT!" AARGH! I didn't even call ANYONE! Dad was really pissed off, even though it wasn't my fault. Fucking optus.

LG - my initials. People used to always go on about it in primary school. Very annoying.
