Congrats to Red Bull today. Shame Webber couldn't pull it off in the end, but as long as Alonso didn't win, I didn't really mind either way.
Anyone else see his arrogant gesture towards Petrov at the end? What a c**k.

I'm really glad Alonso didn't win - I'd have loved it to have been Webber, but I much prefer Vettel to Alonso. I saw the gesture too! If he really was the best driver there, then he'd have had no problem overtaking Petrov! He got most of his points this year from the fact that he had a faster car and everyone else made mistakes!

I really hate Alonso, he's always a sad loser when things don't go his way - obviously some things can be a frustration but he does throw a right 'temper tantrum' a lot of the time! quite childish when he should be setting an example to the much younger drivers!

I think Alonso's gesture came in the heat of the moment, he seemed to admit as much after the race. He is my least favourite of this years contenders though!
Next year should be interesting, Mercedes should be back at the top so if this years leaders remain up there it could be even more competitive...

Also, the final montage featured a great little track called 'Just Drive' by Alistair Griffin, and you can download it for free from his website by going to www.alistairgriffin.net/ and signing up for his mail listing.

I didn't really want Vettel to win, but wanted Alonso to win even less. Not a fan of him, or Ferrari (all this letting your team mate through bollocks).

So Sunday's race was... well, a bit disappointing really. New rear wing didn't seem to make any difference at all mid-race, think they should just keep it for qualifying and lock it down for the race. But then what do I know...

The tyres didn't really make much difference either. Still, at least it wasn't as bad as last years opening race at Bahrain.

First races are always a bit bland. Looked promising for Hamilton I thought.

I don't think we'll see another race any time soon that as boring as Bahrain was last year! Did seem to be quite promising for Hamilton He managed to keep up with Vettel alright - 12 second gap at the end of the race isn't too bad!

Well that a better race! Not seen a car fly like that since Mark Webber last year... surprised the steering wheel came off! Probably not as surprised as Petrov was though

Probably not as surprised as Petrov was though I'm not sure if it was a good race or not... more than 50 pit stops in once race, KERS failures and dodgy DRS overtaking made it all a little too artificial for me.

I think all the new tech on the cars is great - it's definitely lead to more overtaking, which is what it was intended to do, so it does makes the races a bit more interesting. But I can see where you're coming from, with the teams now having movable panels on the cars while they're moving - fairly sure that's been an aero rule for a few years hasn't it??

It was a great race, unbelievable drive from Hamilton to win, especially lucky considering he almost didn't make it onto the grid!

DRS making things a little too easy at Istanbul perhaps? Another good race to watch, for sure, but the pit strategies and trying to keep a head on where everybody will feed in/out is starting to hurt my brain! Schumy took a hammering, always good to see.
