Don't know if it's right to advertise my solo project here. I decided to do it because it's obviously not professional stuff and of course I'm not gonna get any money from it! Mods feel free to erase the thread if it's not ok with you. Alright, the name of the project is Desert Lizard. It's solo, I'm doing vocals/guitars. All the stuff was recorded at my home, no studio involved. The vocals are heavily distorted, trust me, it was the only way to make them sound acceptable with the crappy microphone I have. Apologies for my accent if it sounds terrible to you, I'm doing my best... If you want to get an idea of how it sounds like feel free to visit my Last.fm page where you can listen to the full songs. Here's the link for "Heat! - EP" (which is the first bunch of songs I've recorded): www.last.fm/music/Desert+Lizard/Heat!+-+EP Also here's the facebook link: en-gb.facebook.com/pages/Desert-Lizard/153783307971438I'm thinking about giving away "Heat! - EP" for free download through Last.fm and need your honest opinion about it. If you like the stuff then I have a reason to do it, if not... I won't bother anymore PLZ WRITE ME YOUR OPINION! and thanx for your time guys! ps.: the main reason I'm here is Feeder, my favourite band, I'm sure you know that. Just thought I should give these songs a chance

Sorry for the late reply.
Gave it a listen today and I like it. There's some awesome riffs in there and I actually love those distorted vocals, fits the music really well.
keep it up!

That's alright mate It's always good to listen to some new music. Who knows what hidden gems one might discover! Please know that these are not only kind words - I really mean it! A hobby like songwriting should never be given up! (Except if it is Justin Bieber-like music, but I trust noone here on this forum writes that kind of music. If you, reader, do, then shame!) By the way, in your first post you said that we could listen to the full songs, but when I checked it out, I could only listen to previews!

Sonorous, Potroque: Big thanx guys! Trust me, your point of view means a lot to me! I'm so glad you like my work! I'll keep writing music, it makes me feel so good! ps. Hmm, Potroque you are right! The LastFM link I gave you has only previews of my songs (when you click the play button next to the song name you hear a 30 second preview of it). To hear the whole song don't click "play", just hit the song name (ex. "Brand New") to be redirected to the song's page and hear it full by clicking "Play direct from Desert Lizard"... or simply the play button! ;D

How could I miss that? Anyway, now I heard the whole songs, I like them even more! Especially Victims (love the chorus!). That new song, A Case Of Change, sounds brilliant too!

I finished this song yesterday, just in time to complete the EP before I leave for London to see Feeder at Shep's Bush! Leaving tomorrow morning. My next post will be a review of the gig! I know it sounds boring but thanx again for giving me your opinion on the songs. I appreciate it very much!

I've only had a listen to the clips as of yet, but they sound promising. If you like the stuff then I have a reason to do it, if not... I won't bother anymore PLZ WRITE ME YOUR OPINION! and thanx for your time guys! In my opinion you should only make music because you enjoy it, and not because of what other people think. If other people like my music, it's a bonus!

At the above sentence I wasn't talking about creating music but uploading it in public and giving it away for free. Sorry for not making it clear. Thank you for giving a listen to my songs and for your nice words!
