Shrek 4...distinctly average. The series should have finished two films ago. The Big Lebowski... amazing. Always been one of those films I know I should watch, and it was excellent, script, acting, plot, all great .

Exam - fine film. Shows what an atmosphere can be achieved with 10 people and one room.

Watched the Other Guys yesterday with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Wahlberg was surprisingly amusing in a comedy. Just a time killer movie but I thought it was funny, especially when the Rock & Samual L Jackson jump off the building to the Foo Fighters song "My Hero". Classic.
Most recent, Paranormal Activity. Build up was brilliant, literally the ending (last 5 seconds) screwed the entire thing up. I liked the intensity of the film and the acting was a good standard. Yeah, good horror film, gave me a few frights. Watching it at night in the flat helps. There is a second one. May check it out.

But you have to take what you originally see in order to make the original impact sort of last. Thought either of them would have worked better than what they decided on.

I actually didn't mind The Lovely Bones all that much. I thought it was watchable. Finally got my act together and watched a Star Wars film for the first time this morning.

I thought it was funny though the way Wahlberg assumes everything is worse than it is. Stereotyping everything from cop movies and all. That scene though, is just epic.

It could've been good, the basic storyline I mean. But it was just ruined by needless CGI, annoying little pointless bits and just the fact it was so unreal. I'm not explaining it very well but it had such a harrowing story and yet was emotionless and at times laughable. I love PJ but he was so concerned about the visuals he forgot the characterization.
