So the idea of this thread is to introduce fans of Feeder to good bands they may not know about. I can't really educate on many bands, no. I am here to learn about similar bands I may like!
So if this seems like a decent idea go ahead and tell us about some similar bands you know of!

That's a great idea! If you look in the General Threads, we have something like that, so you may want to check it out for some good bands As for this thread, I reaaally recommend Kaizers Orchestra from Norway. I never heard something like that before! This is what they did in the early days: There most recent album has influences from classical music as well, it's really really magnificent The bands Dean Tidey as played in are also worth checking out: Sandstone Veterans, Velvet Jones and the recent Muddy Apes!

There aren't many current bands I can think of off the top of my head that sound like Feeder. Bob Mould (who was in a couple of bands that influenced Feeder) released what I reckon is his best solo album last year - this is my favourite track: I always thought that this is what Feeder would sound like if they did post-rock: pg.lost do some cracking heavy and melodic instrumental rock: A Feeder fan recently told me they could hear the Feeder influence in my own band - which is surprising as I only write the lyrics and keyboard bits! Anyway, these two tracks are quite Feeder-y I guess: notthecakes.bandcamp.com/track/chatternotthecakes.bandcamp.com/track/edible-drumsAnd perhaps the first two here in a way: notthecakes.bandcamp.com/album/believe-in-bacon

I only just realised you were asking for similar bands. Kaizers Orchestra is very different, sorry for that. Still, worth checking out! If you're looking for some Polythene/Yesterday Went Too Soon-like music, check out the first Stereophonics album, Word Gets Around. Too Many Sandwiches is my favourite from that album: And then there's the first two albums by Smashing Pumpkins: Gish and Siamese Dream. Very much like Swim/Polythene: Also the song Coma by Muse is quite similar:
