My guess would be Last.fm data, it's where I obsessively find all these things too. For example all of the tracks at the moment scrobble in capital letters, which is annoying. Anyway, Soul Mates is great, really tender. Can't wait until I can get my hands on my copy of the album. Maybe I'm just being too optimistic, but I think Soul Mates has the potential to be really big, just depends on enough exposure as always.

I think it's a great song, I hope it gets some exposure as Grant has always been very underrated IMO.

Come on Grant... I mean, the song is good, but this could be a lost demo of Dove Grey Sands... I expected something more original, not a just a copy. However, this is good and I still look forward to hearing the rest

After listening to it 6 times I've come to the conclusion that Soul Mates is beautiful.

Out July 23rd in Japan, hopefully July 21st over here (my birthday!).

But I'm sure about that, there's always one or two songs on Feeder albums that are different (Fools Can't Sleep, Standing On The Edge, Quick Fade, Frequency to name a few) That being said, I do like the fact that this song doesn't follow the usual song structure of verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus, but that it ends in a different part. I like what I hear, looking forward to hearing the rest!

I wanted to preorder the album from cd japan but i don't know if jap version will contain extra tracks...that's a shame because probably will be more expensive than standard release and i have a coupon code that is expiring today... anyway soul mates is fantastic...this album will be Amazing i think...but i'm curious now to listen electric tracks...

The song is cool, its nice to hear something though I wish it was a Feeder album.
Also I'm sure Grant will discuss Feeder in whatever interviews he does, so at least we'll have some info on that soon.

That's all true, although I do hope that Taka will get some more interesting stuff to play on a future Feeder record. I get the impression he only gets to play the same notes as Grant. Looking forward to Grants album though. Forgiven has some cool bass tunes in the second verse by the way I agree.. I love Yesterday Went Too Soon but the bass is is soooo boring. Incidentally those are the same chords as the intro to Whatever by Oasis. Can't Stand Losing You had some nifty bass parts, obviously originally played by Sting. As for Soul Mates... I can't decide yet. I wish Grant well though.

UK Release Date :
11th August
Record Label :
Popping Candy rather than Big Teeth Music ... even though both companies have the same registered address, so basically the same thing!

Like others have said, I hope there's a bit of variation and experimental stuff on the album too. The teaser YouTube video suggests there will be...
And hello Katie, it's good to see you.

Why Japan always has the Deluxe version and UK hasn't? Feeder is a english band and Grant is from Wales. I can understand Feeder has released special edition albums in Japan because of Taka, but Grant Nicholas is only Grant Nicholas. Why will the special edition of the album be released only in Japan? It should be the opposite...
