If SetlistFm is right then the set was a shorter set than the recent tour was. So I'm glad I didn't make the long trip. An odd way to celebrate such an important birthday but as everyone has said, totally expected.

It seems the "My Perfect Day" has been re-recorded and will be given free for those who will buy a ticket for the UK shows. It's cool but it's not really fair for the fans that live abroad and can't afford a trip to the UK. It's like the band forgot that they have fans outside UK and Japan...

So fed up of these stupid 'exclusive' tracks, not just from Feeder but from bands in general.

It's annoying for many people in the UK too. I'm not sure if I've missed a Feeder tour since 2000, but I can't plan so far ahead at the moment - I'm not spending £20+ on a gig I might not be able to attend. And there are fans in the UK who can't get to gigs also. It is funny that they've recorded My Perfect Day again though - I remember suggesting some old tracks might be getting that treatment before Grant even posted his My Perfect Day caption.

It will eventually come to spotify/youtube etc. If not i'm sure a few well placed private messages will sort everyone out, worked for No Light!

On Kerrang : www.kerrang.com/the-news/feeder-announce-2018-tour-dates-in-support-of-greatest-hits-release/It's on PlanetRock too. A lot of sources I know that somebody can sort it (it's already done) but it's a shame than fans "had" to do it because, except never having the song, they don't have any other choice. It was the same for No Light, but, fortunately, they were vinyl test press to get one legally. And the special edition but 5 yeas later, which is way better.

The interesting thing is there hasn't been any official announcement from the band about My Perfect Day being re-recorded/given away when you purchase tickets for the best of tour.
Also, surely this means My Perfect Day will be coming back to the set list for the tour? I do hope they change it up a bit because I'm fairly certain they've been playing a "Best Of" setlist for a while now! Putting My Perfect Day back in the set would be a decent start though. The question is will they drop any of the existing hits they've been playing live? Obviously Buck Rogers, Just The Way I'm Feeling and Just A Day are immune, but the rest?

I'd think they will play some different songs. ABE tour they played 5/6 ABE songs, so we'll see some others from the Best Of. Figure You Out & Veins will be played I would think. I could see YWTS, something from Silent Cry, and as mentioned My Perfect Day. I'm sure there will be some different songs played, which makes it more of a shame they're not coming down further than Bristol.

So do people have the new MPD already? Verdict?

Figure You Out & Veins will be played I would think. I could see YWTS, something from Silent Cry, and as mentioned My Perfect Day. I really like ‘Silent Cry’, it’s one of my top three Feeder albums. But if SetlistFM is accurate, they haven’t played a single song from ‘Silent Cry’ since the ‘Silent Cry’ tour in 2008/9. I don’t understand Feeder’s approach to singles in recent years. ‘All Bright Electric’ gave the world three singles, ‘Universe of Life’, ‘Eskimo’ and ‘Another Day on Earth’. To quote Wikipedia: “’The first two were gratis singles from preorders of the albums, while the last single was a streaming-only track, although no download was released. ‘Paperweight’ had a video made for it, but is not classified as a single.’” Confusing. Fast-forward to ‘Arrow’. They’ve released two sort-of-singles, ‘Figure You Out’ and ‘Veins’. They’ve made a video for ‘Veins’, which suggests its the song they want to push, but live they’ve prioritised the other one. Now they’re promoting The Best Of by re-recording a song they haven’t played in a decade, not even at their Homecoming show, which would’ve been the perfect place for a reintroduction! Now they’re releasing it in the UK only (which invites piracy) and even then, it’s not on the Best Of! I just don’t understand some aspects of how Feeder are managed. It’s like the moment they’ve got some momentum going, they give people something else to look at. It’s like ‘Side by Side’ all over again – release a single and literally never play it. ...that said, I'm really looking forward to hearing the new MPD. I love that song!

So do people have the new MPD already? Verdict? Pre-sale isn't live yet ... those that have pre-ordered the album will apparently get an email with a link & access code to the pre-sale at 10am tomorrow.

Sounds very creepy, awesome. Shame it's only exclusive to pre-sales though. I'm not sure if I can make next March yet.

I don’t understand Feeder’s approach to singles in recent years. I don't understand the bands approach to most things these days... For instance why is this tour scheduled for March, yet the 'Best Of' is coming out in September. Wouldn't it be an idea to coincide the two? Isn't that standard procedure when you release a new album? So having got some momentum up this year are the band now planning on taking nearly six months off? Perhaps I have them wrong and they'll be some low key dates playing Arrow in October followed by some Polythene\Swim dates in December...

Got me two tickets to Brixton March 17th. It will be my 31st Feeder gig if you were wondering.
Where is my MPD rerecord though???
