I personally think PTS signalled the end of the shift to mellow and the next one will see a slight shift to a balance in favour of rock again! I doubt the production methods will revert back though! : ) So you think the next album will be rockier again but with more effects and stuff? hopefully ... not sure about "more" effects etc ... i think they'll use a similar amount ... in fact, the next tour will be quite telling ... it'd be good to see how often the piano makes an appearance! less than the previous tour I reckon ... and if that's the case, then that trend will probs continue for the next album!

I was wondering ... I know you hate the effects on Child In You ... what do you make of the acoustic version?

The music box effects on CIY were not needed, a brilliant song but could have done without.
Still, the acoustic version is good too!.

*lol* I was wondering ... I know you hate the effects on Child In You ... what do you make of the acoustic version? Child In You is fine, it's CIS and Quickfade that are the real disasters. The live Quickfade at Reading is the one I listen to - such a good song, such a mess on CD. Unfortunately there aren't many good CIS live version without the bloody beeping noise on them!

interesting to know that you listen to live versions instead of studio versions ... I listen to a lot more live versions thatn studio, particular favourites are Feeling A Moment (Isle Of Wight 2005) and Come Back Around live.

ahhh well i can't even count them on one hand..... thats because there are none... maybe thats cause i'm not a massive downloader anymore or maybe because in don't like wasting my music listening time (which is only about 15 minutes a day) on live tracks
I had some live Muse tracks - didn't like them - that says a lot

There was one idiot at Reading that year, in the tent nearby (it was the same Reading I got knocked out pitch black on vodka btw), she kept asking her mates what it's like "to be officially at the Reading festival".
Got really tedious having to listen to that!!!, EVERY morning.

interesting to know that you listen to live versions instead of studio versions ... I don't...much. Some recordings definitely bring out different facets of a song though. I'm no So Well fan, but I like the Astoria one on my site.
