I dont usually make rants often, but this has got right up my snot. Its my brothers birthday on Monday and its mine Tuesday so in accordance,my Aunty has posted us two birthday cards. She does this every year and theres always a bit of money in the cards. I wake up, see that theres a letter for me and my little brother, so i open my card, contained is a few quid as expected, however my little brothers envelope was already opened when it came, very carefully i must add,no rips or anything but it was just left open and the money was taken out I shouldnt have looked, but it looked a little suspect that the envelope was open and my brother was still asleep Luckily my brother hadn't woken up yet so i put the money i got in his card and stuck the envelope back with a little bit of prit stick.Woke up half an hour later, opened card and was as happy as Larry. FUCKING ROYAL MAIL ASSHOLES

That's a great thing you did there. You should report it because you can get the employees in serious trouble. Though, and I'm pretty unsure about this, I think they can't accept responsibility because they discourage sending money in the post.

There was a programme on about this a couple of weeks ago, loads of birthday cards get opened and money taken. You should definately complain.
They tested it by sending about 12 birthday cards to different addresses, and I think about 3 or 4 of them were opened and money or vouchers taken.

Yeah, thats the programme. I watched it myself actually.Watched it tonight about the Supermarket Food, poor fooking chickens. The thievery though could have happened at any part of the delivvery process really, when the post man opened the post box, sorting office or mail man, who knows?! ...however thats what happens when the envelope is blue Lesson people, never send post in envelopes that arent white or brown.Brown'd be a safer option

There is no point in complaining, because nowt will be done. Gonna have to say something to me aunty though, but as long as me bro stays oblivious,im happy. ...you think theyd have more sense over in Columbia wouldnt you

That bluddy sucks Karl!!!!!, they even scan letters at the sorting office for metal objects too!!!! Just like at the airports- if it's metal they get in a hussy fit and get all suspicious It's a best bet to tell your aunt to send them recorded delivery ;D

Have you ever been frisked like twice just before getting on a plane? I have, I must look like a mule or something.

You know you should say something (i'm sure they have a customer service department) because its actually an imprisonable offense.
You must have an interesting family though, no one ever opens my family's mail cause we're boring.
