Anyone got any advice on the best software to get to rip audio from internet radio streams or YouTube? As far as I can tell, pretty much every "free" download out there that does this type of thing is pumped full of viruses.
I tried using Audacity, but the quality is poor.

You can use FlashGot on Firefox to easily download audio and video : flashgot.net/To convert, just use the Convert function from VLC. You can convert a YouTube video to a 320kbit/s MP3 in 4 clicks. It's here : www.videolan.org/vlc/

I generally use keepvid.com, which is fine as long as you know not to click on the dodgy fake 'DOWNLOAD NOW' ad buttons that show up, and then I open the video file directly in GoldWave to get the raw audio.
