Something dawned on me but I haven't seen any B-sides from Feeder's last two albums (ABE and Arrow/Best of). Did I miss something or did they ever release other songs from the recordings from the last two albums. Just curious.

Don't think so. This is pretty much the norm now though.

Something dawned on me but I haven't seen any B-sides from Feeder's last two albums (ABE and Arrow/Best of). Did I miss something or did they ever release other songs from the recordings from the last two albums. Just curious. It's a good question and truth is, no one knows really. There was talk from Renegades to Generation Freakshow that the songwriting process happened almost at a similar time. Other than that, we've not seen or heard of any extra tracks or B-sides. There is however a "Kyoto (Japanese Version)" on the Japan release instead of "Kyoto". HMV Japan (and other sites, I’m sure) are now listing the Japanese version of the album, with a different catalogue number (VICP65541) and an exclusive “Japanese version” of the track ‘Kyoto’. I know there are a few completists in these parts, so this news may be of interest! Unsure of the differences between the two for obvious reasons. Hopefully someone can post it before I do!

Well, you could argue that Arrow is essentially the B-sides from ABE.

Maybe because there wasn't any physical single released. You can have a B-side if you put a vinyl or a CD on the market, but if it's only digital, it's a bit less encouraging. And more important, you had to have "letfovers" from the album.

Well, you could argue that Arrow is essentially the B-sides from ABE. True that! Is that true? I thought the "Arrow" tracks were written after "ABE" and separately, in response to the record label asking for one or two songs to sell the Best Of to fans who already own the singles... then Grant just over-delivered!

He was saying you can "essentially call it" the B-side of ABE. Some tracks were written around ABE but new ones were made after too.

Walk Away was written in the Renegades era and Veins was written for Yorktown Heights, so some of the songs were definitely written before the ABE era - I think Arrow is generally a mixture of old, leftover ABE and new tracks.
I always think that with tracks like Walk Away and Sending Out Waves being written that the 2nd Renegades album would have been amazing - but Generation Freakshow came next and is my favourite album, so I'm not complaining - it's win win.
