Went to the Rough Trade East gig last night, it was great. It was really great to see them so relaxed and having fun, making up the setlist as they went along to an extent and cherishing being less professional, a really different experience to your typical Feeder gig.
The songs sounded great acoustic with a full band too, a really nice twist on it. I'd definitely recommend going for those who aren't already, it's worth it for the spontaneity and different sound - a really refreshing context to see them in and I get the impression they'll mix it up a bit with the setlist.
Video of a few snippets of songs and setlist below.

Thanks for the video, everything was sounding really good.
Unfortunately these sorts of things never happen near me in deep dark Suffolk!

Good to see more tracks from the new album played than was the case at Kingston. Looking forward to Nottingham.

I didn't notice the Kyoto snippet. It's the one I was hoping for as it was my favourite from those clips a few weeks ago. But yeah, it was great to see the band, and Grant in particular, so relaxed. I'm tempted to go to another instore but don't think I'll make it. An acoustic tour early next year would be awesome. The crowd last night was mostly very respectful, which helps.

And yeah an acoustic tour in this setup would be amazing, suits them really well.

Went to the Rough Trade Nottingham gig. It was really good to see the band in such an intimate venue playing semi-acoustically, although the place is designed in such a way that only about 20 people can actually see the band...
The sound was good and they played five full tracks from Tallulah and four oldies although as everybody there were pretty much Feeder hardcore who were buying the new album they didn't really need to do the crowd pleasers. Personally I'd have been well happy if they'd ran through the whole of the new album but it was quite clear they'd only rehearsed the five songs. So the comment by Grant that they were making the set up as they went along wasn't quite true.
We got one of those dodgy Feeder votes where he asked for everyone's favourite from Tallulah and when he didn't get the answers he wanted he asked the band instead. Hence we got small snippets of other Tallulah songs that Grant effectively did solo because the band hadn't rehearsed them.
At the end he asked for requests and got a wide selection of obscurities from Chicken On The Bone to Victoria. If people actually shouted for something half sensible then we might actually get it! Instead he reluctantly agreed to play Buck Rogers despite the fact I didn't actually hear anyone call for it...
Overall though a very relaxed 50 minute set with some great new songs. Fear of Flying, Youth and Daily Habit sound pretty good live and must be nailed on for the tour. I'm not really getting into Kite or Blue Sky Blue so much but they're probably in pole positions at the moment. Personally I'd like to see Tallulah and Windmill played. I guess they may do six songs on the tour. I would've loved to have heard High (in London) with the acoustic lineup.

Sucks that the closest Feeder ever play to Ipswich (or pretty much anyone) is Cambridge or (usually) Norwich!

Sucks that the closest Feeder ever play to Ipswich (or pretty much anyone) is Cambridge or (usually) Norwich! How about going back to 1999 when Feeder played Ipswich with Muse in support at the Corn exchange! They also played on the Comfort in Sound tour in 2003 at the Regent. Unfortunately I was a little too young at the time to go to gigs, let alone check where bands were playing.
