I'm reading Emma. Up to chapter 5. At least it's light and reasonably fluffy.

Been reading the Motorcycle Diaries by Ernesto 'Che' Guevara. I read it 10 years ago and he made me fall in love with South America and Cuban revolution. I do love it. Lately I'm just reading magazines: my brain is too tired for books.

I'm supposed to start reading Emma BLAH English novels! Oh well...Jane Austen had a sense of humour at least, not like Charlotte Bronte I have to study that next year, would probably be wise to read it. I am re-reading Past Mortem by Ben Elton, Love it

^^ i always find ben elton a bit hit or miss, couple of his books i really enjoyed (popcorn, dead famous, high society), other ones i didn't like at all. not read that one though, might steal it off my bro some time.
just started 'the tale of murasaki' by liza darby, about 11th century japan, fiction based around Murasaki Shikibu wrote "The Tale of Genji" in the 11th century, supposedly the worlds first female novelist. looks like it's gonna be quite interesting but think i might need to get hold of a copy of the tale of genji as well to get the most out of it. (i have 'geisha' by liza darby to read as well, she's the only western woman to ever become a geisha)

I'm reading a book on Greek Mythology now. It's a bit confusing.

Still wading through Emma. It's not a bad, or a hard book, but I can't focus on more than a few chapters at a time, so it's slow going. Can I get it done before school starts? BAH. probably not.

Are you doing it too? It's better than Jane Eyre, at least Austen has a sense of humour, unlike Bronte. Easier to fathom than Pride and prejudice IMO

I have to compare two novels next term in English, and they are Emma, and Pride and Prejudice, can not wait! Urgh
What does IMO mean?

Ugh...such slow going. You know how it is when you need to read a book but your brain tunes out and no matter how much you try you don't absorb what you're reading? Every second chapter! So...I'm up to chapter 32 or something so much more to read! And then I have to do an oral presentation on Emma/Clueless, or another book/film combo for the 22nd! I'm sunk! I HATE SCHOOL.
