The head's repeated the message for us several times now... It's just a select few people going over old ground again and again... so repeat the message ... yes, it's tiresome, but it's the only way they'll get it. Don't even enter into a debate with them ... haha ... but surely that just brightens your day!? You must have some sorta "numpty wall" where that kind of thing gets recorded for your own amusement

It's never worth getting into a debate, if they get really shitty with us then the job just gets bumped to the bottom of the pile. I know it's a childish way of dealing with it, but even some members of management agree it's the way to do it! haha ... but surely that just brightens your day!? argh virgin mobile ordered a lovely new htc wildfire phone last week. arrived friday. we were going away for the weekend so i resisted temptation, took it up to leicester with us and charged it overnight. turned it on saturday am to be asked for a network code... which was unexpected! didn't have one, and was about to go out to a track for warrens aston martin drive so turned phone off, put sim back in my old handset until i could ring virgin mobile in the afternoon. half an hour on hold to be told "oh yes we've had some problems with the htcs being sent out locked, give us the iem number and we'll sort it" fair enough - they then gave me a network code. which i couldn't put into the phone then 'cos the sim was in my old handset so i could talk to them without dialing an 0845 number and being charged a fortune. so got off the phone, put sim back in new handset, turned phone on to discover that its no longer asking for a network code, and in fact its not registering a) the sim card or b) any mobile networks at all and has locked itself into airplane mode. tried turning it off and leaving it and turning it on again - no change. tried hunting for mobile networks - well as its in airplane mode it won't let me access the networks function. tried factory reset - no change. had to wait til my lunch hour today when i could call them from a landline and thus have access to my new phone to try and sort it out. hour and a half later - "my manager suggests turning it off and on...!" (er DONE THAT! ) "i'll call HTC and get back to you..... they say restore factory setting?" "or searching for mobile networks" (why don't you rewind 90 mins to the start of the phonecall where i listed all the things i'd tried without success....?) think my fave moment was when he offered to call me back on my mobile (er... you mean the one that isn't working?!) eventually after 90 mins of useless chitchat he asked "so how long have you had the handset?" "since friday" "oh well so you're still under warrenty (no shit sherlock...!) hopefully the replacement handset isn't also locked out or they'll be getting an arsey phonecall.

Oooo there's gonna be a fight next week.
Got into work this morning to discover that us wireless people can't print. Now it isn't a major problem as the office manager can print so if we need anything we send it to her.
However, the boss and his son (who is our IT guy) decided they wanted it fixing today despite them both being on holiday. Now us in the office can work computers fine but aren't good at fixing problems. If we were, we wouldn't need an IT guy. So, he emails us though a list of instructions, which don't work. Then he rings up saying you need to do this and that. Well tell me how to do it and i will. I put him on speakerphone so we could all hear him and do it at the same time. He talked us through it and, yes, it didn't work! This apparently was our fault. All 3 of us must have not listened to him properly!!!
So, he told us to hang on a min while he spoke to his dad, but he didn't cover the phone enough and we heard every word he said. Which basically was that we were a bunch of fucking idiots. He was surprised how we managed to get up in the morning without hurting ourselves and that his dad should employ some proper people who can use computers.
Well,
When he finally came back on the phone he was told in no uncertain terms that:
While we don't know anything about IT, we are VERY GOOD at the jobs we are ACTUALLY PAID TO DO. And we can USE computers, we just can't fix systems that fuck up. And maybe it's actually his shitty systems that are crap, not us.
Why doesn't he try to come and do our jobs for a week, and see how he manages.
If we wanted to know about IT we would have gone to college to learn about it. We don't want to, because it's boring, and we'd rather stick our heads in a vice.
If we did know about IT, he wouldn't be needed and therefore wouldn't be getting paid.
If he's got something to say about us, he can come in next week and say it to our faces. Otherwise he can shut the fuck up.
The best thing is, he can't come in to fix it until thurs or fri next week. And that's when i'm in. Mwahahahhahahaha. Dickhead.

no sign of student loan flatmate threw out mp3 player got last night off work, on the unmentioned condition i work tonight - wouldn't have said yes if i'd known. now apparently i'm too nice and have agreed to cover my friends shift as her mates from abroad are coming over. didn't realise she was doing an 8pm - 7am shift. whoops. doing 38 hours at work this week. hello where am i going to fit university in? internet is so shit i am unable to buy train tickets online going to have to pay out my arse for a hotel in london just so i can spend some time with the lady - would be ok if i had my student loan, but i do not. no milk, house mates have drunk all of mine. shower leaks, no sign of plumber landlord assured us would be round either saturday or monday morning. rent bills uni stuff books blah blah money blah costs money blah blah not sleeping, feel depressed, miserable fucking weather, shitty dreams which have just completely fucked with my head, uni starts and i find myself sitting in lectures thinking "why the fuck did i come back? i was happier in london" she is too far away, and i have convinced myself despite her assuring me to the contrary that she will be leaving soon and going back to hungary. feel like shite. feel like shite. feel like shite. feel like shite. feel like shite.
all minor gripes i think but everything is just driving me fucking mad today. have to go to work in a few hours and i can't even just grab a little time to vent some anger on (MY) xbox because i was stupid and nice and put it in the lounge for everybody's enjoyment which somehow translates as "lets watch skyplayer all day and call jonny unreasonable and selfish when he merely asks when it'll be free so he can play a couple games of something before spending eight hours at work".
suicide tuesday.

Why is you get penalised for trying to go out and earn a decent living as a family, yet if we quit and reaped the benefits we'd be better off?

Doh! Went to a party this weekend and skipped a night of sleep. Then comes the Monday morning. Get up at 7 and attend the first two lessons of the week: science. To do what? TO CALCULATE THE FUCKING HEIGHT OF A FUCKING PENCIL STRIPE! Jeez, what's the use of that! Did I have to come for that! As a result, next 4 lessons I almost fell asleep. Literally. Why are these science things on school always so useless and redundant?

Yeah go on, laugh about it. But now I know the height of a pencil stripe and you DON'T! Having this knowledge makes me feel superior

I think a lot of the population need to be wiped out:
Me and my younger sister was walking past one of those hardware stores with loads of plastic containers/boxes outside it, at the same time a group of school girls were too, they knocked loads of the boxes over, this chav approaching down the road, seen what happens and then says to my sister (thinking she knocked them) "oooooh you dirty tramp you're gonna have to pick them up now"
Errrr.....EXCUSE ME!?
1. She didn't knock them over 2. Even if she did, how would picking brand new plastic containers/boxes up make you a tramp? 3. Is it any of you business? NO, FUCK OFF. Get your facts right. Uneducated fool.
I seriously worry about the future with scum like this, Who did he think he was! he must have been about 20+ Time to grow up I think! people like this grind my gears!

AAAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
pc is driving me NUTS! has been running rather slowly but admittedly is hadn't been on in 4 months so was going through all its updates/defragging etc. now thats all done but it keeps dropping the wifi signal randomly. noticed a few times now it loses it if it goes on standby - completely fails to find the adaptor and signal, i have to completely restart the pc for it to find it again. and this afternoon it lost it when i plugged my ipod in - seems like 2 usb devices plugged in are all too much! so frustrating - again have to restart the lot to get it to find the wifi again. grrr i'm very close to getting Warren to roll it back to windows xp - vista just knackers it! we were planning on getting a 3 licence windows 7 package once he's all moved in to upgrade all our machines but not sure if mine is gonna cope with it.

To get the balance right, as a single father, whose sons mum doesn't generally give a f*ck or provide a penny for his upkeep, f*ck them!

My cat died from a heart attack last night, he bit my mothers hand when he was dying due to pain and her hand is badly infected He wasn't even 2 years old and poor mum is in agony and the sad thing is, my late grandmothers rings had to be cut from her fingers ''cos it was swollen too quick to pull them off. Hoping to get them fixed for her
