So, I've downloaded them ... it's lovely to hear them in proper quality and now I've re-tagged them and used the pictures of the formats from the Anorak, they look correct in my iTunes library ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Excellent ... well done to FeederHQ for doing this ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

You know, one of my favourite things about this era is how flipping massive G's guitar sound is!

Well, it's a bit early for me to give a review as I haven't heard yet all of the songs, but I was thinking that was a good album, without being super-happy, but you know, definitely better than Renegades... Hey Johnny was the track that I preferred, the lyrics are really beautiful. Apart from that, Oh My, Quiet, Idaho are definitely good tracks, even if they will not be my all-era faves. Aagain, I think I need more listens ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ... But I've heard Headstrong, and that's a freakin' absolute MASTERPIECE ! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) I hadn't had this feeling with a Feeder song since... I don't even know, I think Echo Park (I mean for a rock song). Fresh, ultra-energetic, GENIUS. They proved me that even when I wasn't expecting something special from them, they could make me dream. I love this band, these guys are wonderful!

That's the other thing I love about this album, how optimistic everything is. The fans all have something they are happy with, it's a very forward looking/sounding album. It's impossible not to be a happy Feeder Fan at the moment!

I am intrigued to know how much Feeder/big teeth would see per play on spotify. i know some people use it to trial music before they buy, but everybody i know on either free/premium models uses it as a replacement to buying music, as do I in most cases...
glad that coast to coast and avenue are on there though! thought i wouldn't hear them bar awful youtube videos.

I'm also clueless!

You can pay to download individual tracks. £1.15 each, or cheaper if you download more than 10 tracks

So is there still a way of legally obtaining No Light? I didn't fancy it at the time 'cos of all the per-orders but i had a look and couldn't figure out how to order it anyway!

Not yet no ... the only way to get that track was to buy a ticket for one of the UK November tour dates *and* pre-order the album (potentially again)!!

Ahh it's nice to hear Along the Avenues in perfect MP3 format. SUCH a tune. Second this. Buying a turntable to rip the vinyl seems like an unwise investment now!

SO... generation freakshow ended up number 4 on the charts. heellls yeeeah You do realise this is a Mid-week chart? It's highly unlikely it will be number 4 on Sunday, as most of the sales would have been Mon-Tues. Fingers crossed though!

I'm glad Generation Freakshow looks like it'll make the Top 10 quite easily. Though the #10 album last week only sold a little over 7k, so it was to be expected really! I got my CD on Saturday in the post, is great, and just downloaded Miles Away off iTunes seperately!
Does anyone know what the track tacked on the end of Children Of The Sun is, or is it just part of the song?

I see it as a 'Hidden/Bonus track' so they usually arent named on any artwork but I would say it's 'Skylight' although i've heard people say 'Skylife?' not sure why as G defo says 'Skylight'.

I'll be tagging it as Skylight in iTunes then until we have solid confirmation. Have split it because I hate hidden tracks being on iTunes! Though there was that confusion with Down To The River where it was also being called Down From The River too, so who knows. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I wrote myself a mini review after my 3rd listen yesterday and i put down Headstrong and Idaho down as 2 of the weakest tracks. yet last night i was sitting there watching the delightful cupcake wars on the food network and found myself humming them both... they've definitely stuck with me. after my 4th listen now at work i've upgraded them haha. don't get me wrong i don't think they're bad tracks, just the weakest for me, but it's nice that even the ones i'm not particularly digging are slowly growing on me. Oh My is probably my favourite song on the album. Borders, Generation Freakshow & Children of the sun are all the obvious single material songs, and they are classic feeder. i'm glad that there are a couple songs like this on the album as i thought that was the only thing missing from silent cry. I pre-ordered it with the gig ticket so i got no light. as great as it is to have extra feeder i didn't particularly think there was anything special about it. you wouldn't miss it if you didn't know it existed in my opinion. oh and finally, let's hope it stays in the top ten ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

I've just listened to Generation Freakshow It seems like their early days and Renegades session combined... Every track is terrific, but especially Hey Johnny gets stuck in my head! Borders and COTS are also single-worthy. I'd say Fools Can't Sleep falls short of other tracks but I don't hate it and it grows on me more and more! GF is absolutely the best album in years I'll be sad if they can't make it to the top 10

I am intrigued to know how much Feeder/big teeth would see per play on spotify. i know some people use it to trial music before they buy, but everybody i know on either free/premium models uses it as a replacement to buying music, as do I in most cases... About nothing, unless they've negotiated some extra special deal with Spotify, which I doubt. It's much less than a penny a play. When I last checked my bands stats we had less than a few pence after 200+ plays. I'm aware different bands/labels will get different amounts, but I've read up on the subject, and even if you do the maths (£4.99 or £9.99 monthly subscription along with number of total plays likely by the subscriber in that time) it doesn't add up to much at all, even before Spotify have taken their cut. As for my latest thoughts on the album, Hey Johnny, Sunrise, Borders and Headstrong are awesome. Sunrise has so many great little hooks and reminds me of earlier Feeder. And the title track is excellent too.
