I don't really get the whole thing with QPR, like 3 years ago they apparently became the worlds richest club, yet they haven't spent much and are still the same mediocre team they were then! Don't think I'd be bothered if Briatore was forced to resign if I was a QPR fan...

that's the problem though - how do you force him out? he's invested money, he's not going to just walk away.... even if someone is willing to buy him out, he's still got to agree to it. i don't see how its enforcable if he doesn't want to go.

Certainly looks that way! Hamilton will be pretty unstoppable next season, unfortunate he had such a bad car to start this season with.

Have to say that the qualifying today... Haven't seen that many crashes in one session in a long time! Buemi binned it twice!

Yeah same here! All the best to him! I think if he just gets one podium in the next 2 races or something then he's definitely world champion.

It annoys me that people say he doesn't deserve it 'cos he hasn't won in ages...but he's easily been the most consistant driver over the whole season!

I don't want Vettel to win it. Button or Barrichello for me. I guess Button cause it would be great to have 2 consecutive British winners.

Good stuff! Two English winners, two years in a row, both winning the championship after having an average final race

Eh? I hope that was sarcasm. Neither Hamilton's nor Jenson's position in their races were anything special, but their drives in their respective championship winning races were still pretty good, especially Jenson. He pulled off some blinding overtakes. It's not always about the position you finish, it's how you finish in that position...

Here are the drivers' salaries for this year. As if Raikkonen gets almost 3x more than Hamilton and Alonso and nearly 6x more than Massa! As if Barichello only got 600k etc...and four drivers unpaid...
1. Kimi Raikkonen £27.35m 2. Lewis Hamilton £10.9m 3. Fernando Alonso £9.1m 4. Nico Rosberg £5.15m 5. Felipe Massa £4.85m 6. Jarno Trulli £3.95m 7. Sebastian Vettel £3.65m 8. Mark Webber £3.35m 9. Jenson Button £3.05m 10. Robert Kubica £2.75m 11. Heikki Kovalainen £2.1m 12. Nick Heidfeld £1.7m 13. Timo Glock £1.2m 14. Giancarlo Fisichella £0.9m 15. Sébastien Buemi £0.9m 16. Rubens Barrichello £600,000 17. Jaime Alguersuari £300,000 18. Vitantonio Liuzzi £0 19. Adrian Sutil £0 20. Romain Grosjean £0 21. Kazuki Nakajima £0

Also interesting to note that Champion Button earns just over a tenth of what Raikkonen earns...
Take into consideration that the figures above are salaries only - the unpaid drivers probably will make "a living" from the sponsorship that they bring to the team in order to get a drive in the first place.
Webber and Vettel obviously do well out of their Red Bull money!

Button & Barrichello are on less 'cos they took massive paycuts when Brawn took over honda - obviously they had to cut loads of costs. one of the reasons there's romours button might go to Mclaren is they will pay him more than Brawn can.

one of the reasons there's romours button might go to Mclaren is they will pay him more than Brawn can. And also cheaper than Raikonnen! Button's Honda salary has been quoted between £5m - £10 so that would have put him near the top.

Well looks like there's going to be the ultimate British team next year - McLaren with Button and Hamilton. Also looks fairly interesting for Brawn (well, Mercedes)... Rosberg and possibly Heidfeld. Then Ferrari with Alonso and Raikonnen I think. Shaping up to be an interesting field already!
