Can't wait to be next Monday now However, I'm scared to be disappointed, because everybody seem to say it is a very, very good album. Everybody loved Renegades when it went out, and now... Anyway, let's see Monday, and it's always nice to hear something nice about their music

not sure if this is 'feeder spotting' or not but thought this is more appropriate but i saw an advertising billboard at clapham south tube station this morning for generation freakshow and i was pleasantly surprised. i waltzed past it but i think it mentioned the brixton gig at the bottom also

I can't wait any longer, and really considering to get a 4th GF (UK iTunes, Vinyl and Signed Recordstore) copy from the German iTunes Store, because in Germany GF will be released on Friday not Monday.

The one on Recordstore isn't signed, it's only a competition to win a signed guitar. Sadly... I was hoping a signed version like the previous singles and albums. I've asked them and it wasn't planned at that time. Speaking about that, the background of Recordstore is dedicated to GF

There are people who still like Renegades like myself, it was just a step backwards musically after "Silent Cry", not a progression which puts people off it.
Still, I heard Generation Freakshow on YouTube and love it, "Quiet" could turn out to be a future fan fave if it is not already. Also, I flagged those YouTube videos as it was way before the album came out!.
This album is more a progression from Silent Cry, unlike Renegades was, although Down to the River was close to being so.

Just curious, what do you mean by 'a step backwards musically'? Why should this put people off? Still, I heard Generation Freakshow on YouTube and love it, "Quiet" could turn out to be a future fan fave if it is not already. Also, I flagged those YouTube videos as it was way before the album came out!. As the album has now been commercially released (at least in some parts of the world), I guess this is okay now! But flagging up illicit videos only after you've happily watched them yourself... nice! This album is more a progression from Silent Cry. Ha! Each to their own, of course... but in my view anything would be progress after Silent Cry...

Speaking about that, the background of Recordstore is dedicated to GF It depends on when you pre-ordered the album, I think, because my pre-order is for a signed album. There was around 1000 signed copies available. It's likely that what they have now are unsigned.

Oh, so it explain why I've seen a Feeder signed GF but the page gaves me an error. I've pre ordered the album... ahem... It seems that I'm a little bit confused... The 11th january I've ordered GF signed and bought another one the 8th march. I'll mail them today to cancel the latest order... ahem...

Each to their own, of course... but in my view anything would be progress after Silent Cry... Nothing wrong with wanting to listen to the songs, I bet everyone who flagged the videos heard the songs anyway, or if they have not listened to it on the video. It is illegal uploading studio material to YouTube just like it is here uploading it and posting the links on this very forum, that's why we have the studio material rule. "Renegades" is a step backwards as it's not an album that took the sound of "Silent Cry" and evolved from it, it don't feel like a follow-up to that album, more like a stop gap between "Silent Cry" and "Generation Freakshow", it really should have been a self-titled Renegades album, not Feeder. I think it puts people off as "Silent Cry" has long epics, and huge strings on the songs, here it's stripped back with 3 minute fast-paced songs and people were seemingly expecting an evolution from "Silent Cry". It certainatly don't put me off though, 'cos I still enjoy the songs regardless.

I can't believe you all seem to love silent cry now??? Its feeders low point.. Its a rehash of comfort in sound and pushing the senses but without the passion of death or new beginnings. The lyrics are terrible and there's no texture to the album, all the songs sound the same..... lifeless. It was still better than most albums of 2008 tho lol
Renegades wasn't there best album but it was about being a rock band again. Although it misses the the feeder melody and seems to try a little hard with call out and riding on the bus. But its back to being a 3 piece rock band without mark wanting to change the dynamics.
Generation Freakshow is much more natural and happier. Has the album leaked yet btw?

Each to their own ... Silent Cry created some of Feeder's finest work to date, in my opinion. "Who's The Enemy" is stuning ... Weeks ago, sadly ...

I'm not saying its a bad album I just feel it was really boring. Fires makes me cringe tho. Lol. The first release off that album was really rocky, I had my hopes up and then it let me down with how mellow it was And really?? I've already preordered my album like every time. Feeder are 1 of the only bands who deserve my money. But I've looked all over..... ive got the mp3 of coast to coast tho I can't find the leak anywhere. anyone fancy pm'ing me the details??
