How can you not think Headstrong is a stand out song? It's a beast! I had another listen, and I remain unconvinced! I'm surprised that people aren't talking more about Generation Freakshow (song). I know it was on XFM a while back but hearing it in full is just brilliant. The guitar that comes in at 0:41 and 0:55 (pre-choruses) fits perfectly! It's such a feel good song that makes you feel really positive listening to the lyrics.

Got mine through this morning Absolutely love Quiet, Oh My, Idaho, Sunrise and In All Honesty. I'd say the weakest track for me is Headstrong, but saying that it's still a belter. I'm going to have some serious thinking to do about my favourite album

So, pretty damn good album eh!
I've had the opportunity to listen to the promo of this album for about a month, but I used all my focus and determination to wait untill I had the actually copy in my hands. So glad I did it this way! Here's a little breakdown of what I think of the songs.
Oh My: On first listen it seemed a bit cheesy, and had me a bit worried for the rest of the abum, but it's a grower.
Borders: Fantastic track, probably the most typically Feedery of the lot
Idaho: Rifftastic. Loving the chorus. Most memorable of all the new songs after 3 listens
Hey Johnny: A future classic I think. A really reflective song, gets you thinking
Quiet: I have two big problems with this song. The copy and pasting of the keyboards from 8:18, and the 40 second fade out. Maybe should have been the album closer
Sunrise: Really good song. One of the stand outs of the January tour. One of the most forward thinking songs on the album in terms of sound and direction
Generation Freakshow: Absolute belter. Makes me turn up the volume every time!
Tiny Minds: Least favourite of the January tour, and the itunes preview didnt get me excited, but loving it now. Got some slight queen/muse backing vocals going on
In All Honesty: Joint with Quiet for least favourite track. A less cringy Hole In My head. (pretty damn goood intro though)
Headstrong: Nice typical rocky Feeder track, if lacking a bit of 'newness' to the sound
Fools Can't Sleep: LOVING this song. Could be a pretty popular single
Children of the Sun: If I didnt know better i'd say this is an album title track worthy song. Seems a bit weird to have it as the album closer.
Skylife: I guess this is some sort of demo? It having the exact same intro as COTS doesn't help it
Looking forward to hearing Miles away, have a feeling it might be a slower track.

Had my copy delivered to work, so it should either be there now or arrive Monday. Pre-ordered from iTunes too, any idea when it will be downloadable? Midnight tomorrow? Only ask as I seem to remember a few downloadable items being available on Sundays recently...

Dying to hear the album guys, gunna have to wait til after work on monday to get it, but there seems like so much more positivity than renegades album. ive had to listen to the preview on youtubes an it seems like a good un. buzzin, the bsides from borders are better than the single so im well up for it, the one song i wanna listen to most in full is Quiet, seems like a standout from the rest for me and possibly goes hand in hand with forget about tomorrow, i hope it doesnt dissapoint me.
is it as good as the sample shows?
pps: as much as i hated generation freakshow at first, i bloody love it, guess i totaly didnt "get it" first 20 listens

Must be on my 8th or so listen by now. It's by far their best album since at least Silent Cry, perhaps even ever. The long album version of Children of the Sun is a perfect powerful emotional closer to the record. And I'm really having difficulty picking a song I don't like....
I think overall it's so good due to finally returning to diverse songwriting and impressive production. Finally we have an album that reminds me of anything pre-Comfort in Sound.

Finally I can speak openly about the album after 1 month and a half that I've had it! Oh my: AMAZING. Everytime I listen to it I just love it more and more. Pretty impressive lyrics and some of the most gorgeous melodies that Grant has ever written in history. Second fave on the album, very very close to Quiet which is my favourite. Borders: least fave on the album. Every first single since SC has been my least fave song on the album (WaTP is my least fave on SC, so is Call out on Renegades). Amazing nonetheless, I think it still manages to fit in my top 50 Feeder songs (and they've done almost 200 songs!). Idaho: it was one of my faves at first, then it got old quite fast. Bit of a cheesy melody, but it's got that heavier feel that makes it a lot better and more tolerable to my ears. Then it has a longer bridge than most Feeder songs which is surely a plus note! Could be a good single. Hey Johnny: a real gem of a song, could fit very well on the first two albums by The Killers (Hot fuss and Sam's town), sounds really promising, it could be a future live favourite and I really hope it survives on future setlists. Quiet: as I said above, it's my favourite on the album, maybe my fave Feeder song ever. I know I've named different Feeder songs in the past as my faves, but Quiet just seems to edge it a bit more right now. I've heard many people complaining about the way the track ends, but I think that it's one of its strongest points. I've also heard many wrong statements such as: "it's the only Feeder song ending with a fade out", which is incorrect: remember about Turn? Then the lyrics... just amazing. That "buried the love, shut out the light." has to be one of my favourite Feeder lines ever. I really hope it gets played live as an acoustic just like COTS and Silent cry. Sunrise: same as Idaho, it was one of my faves at first, then it's poppy melody let it down a bit for me; yet it is a really good song nonetheless. Guitar parts are amazing and that solo, despite being short, it's one of my fave Feeder solos. It should definitely be the third single of this campaign and it could easily be the next "Buck Rogers" if it got decent promotion. Generation freakshow: my fourth favourite on the album, the guitar parts in the verses are just amazing and its melody just gets me jumping all around the house. I'm so excited by the idea of hearing it live, just like Hey Johnny it should survive on future concert setlists. Tiny minds: it would be one of my favourites if only it had kept that amazing solo that Grant used to play live. Why making it shorter on record? Loving the keyboards, the song reminds me a lot of The Pixies. In all honesty: YWTS goodness over here! Should be definitely played live, sounds a lot like Hole in my head to me (which is one of my favourites Feeder songs ever!). Wouldn't sound out of place on Echo Park, too. Headstrong: God, this is just amazing. AMAZING. It MUST be played live, it would be a storm. My third favourite on the record, the guys hadn't done such amazing fast tracks since Echo Park, yet it sounds like nothing I've heard on past records to me. Fools can't sleep: Different to anything I've heard so far. It's my fifth fave on the record. I didn't like it at all at first, I was really disappointed but I guess it's just a grower that needs a lot of listening to be fully appreciated. The strings in the background during the chorus are just AMAZING. Children of the sun: it was my favourite Feeder song from the live shows, then the studio version let it down a bit in my opinion. Still it is one of their greatest songs and it has some of the most amazing lyrics Grant has ever written. The hidden track following it is even better, both musically and lyrically. Now this is how my WMP reproduction counter looks:

^ haha, christ! those playcounts are incredible. hats off to you. Yeah it's good to see the whole album being listened to consistently, rather than one or two songs. Although saying that, I fail at doing this sometimes (if you add up all of those plays, it'd still be short of my play count for Love Pollution!).

Firstly LOVE the new album, first track sets you up nicely for the rest. Intro is brilliant best in ages on any album! Quite a mix of styles in there is brilliant for showing diversity but I feel they dont always flow from one track to another smoothly. Take nothing away from it though the album was well worth the wait. Sad to say my low points were only Tiny Minds and worst track for me Fools Can't Sleep they just do nothing for me I didn't think they had enough substance. But everything else rules GREAT JOB GUYS!!.... now....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLLLLLLLEEEAAASSSEEE RELEASE NO LIGHT FOR US POOR PEOPLE WITH NO MONEY FOR CONCERT TICKERTS TO BUY ON ITUNES OR FOR CHARITY OR WHATEVER!!!!! (Sorry for shouting just really really want to hear it somehow rant over)

Got my signed version yesterday.
All songs are amazing; can't stop listening to the album. Best song for me has to be Idaho, Tiny Minds or Headstrong. Although they're all brilliant.

Does anyone else think that Fools Can't Sleep sounds a bt like a redone version of All I Ever Wanted?
I have a feeling that it's going to be a bit like Summers Gone, with some people really liking it and everyone else thinking it's nothing special.

listening now. s'got some catchy moments, innit?
i liked the last two albums but they've been played a handful of times each, compared to the constant rotation of every other album... i can see this one finally bringing back a little of that intensity that i havenae felt in a long time with feeder....

In All Honesty is definitely growing on me, I like Quiet but it's a bit soppy, very easy on the ear though! Sunrise is another that is good but I don't think it's quite single material like some people have said.
Oh My, Idaho and Headstrong are still my favourites, closely followed by Generation Freakshow and In All Honesty.
I really like Borders too but it feels really separate from the other songs 'cos it's been out for so long!

World Asleep (sorry dunno how to reply properly...) when Summers Gone kicks about 2:25 it's absolutely brilliant, for that reason it's one of my favourites off Comfort. I just don't think Tiny Minds has that... Maybe I'll give it a few more listens. But I know what you mean a out divided opinions....
